Eh, I've been dealing with crap mainly with this one place I have been trying to schedule an interview with for the past week. They called me originally at a bad time. I have been dealing with social security trying to get help so I can attempt to start my life again and finally go to college and get help with paying for my Chrohn's medication because I can't pay for this out of pocket anymore and I don't want to have to rely on someone else's insurance forever. (It's 200 dollars with insurance and around 1,800 dollars without.) They called me for the job interview while I was at the social security office getting interviewed and I had my phone on silent because the security guard at the building made it very clear that if our ringer was loud or our phone conversation got loud, he'd kick us out. My phone ringer is already loud even on the lowest setting and I could not afford to be kicked out. I called them back after the social security appointment when I noticed they had called. (which was the day after) The first lady to pick up the phone was incredibly rude which kind of ticked me off. Once the phone was handed to hiring manager she hurriedly said she had to call me back and then hung up. So I waited because since she said she was going to calling me back I assumed she would, but she didn't. I had given her enough time to though so I ended up calling back at 6pm. (I originally called 10 am and this place is open until midnight) Some guy picked up and I told him I was supposed to schedule an interview and then was told the hiring manager wasn't in and then he gave me a time she'd be next in, but it ended up being bad for me because I had various doctor's appointments and also a pet sitting job. I still tried calling and didn't get an answer. I've been calling and still haven't been able to schedule an interview. I've pretty much given up at this point. I think I'm just going to reapply at Starbucks and see if they call me in for an interview this time. It was just a small local bowling alley that I thought I would be able get a little more work experience at so my resume would look better so I'm more ticked and tired than disappointed. I really feel they need to get their act together because trying to schedule one interview with them has been a mess. I also feel like I have been in and out of various offices all this week which also hasn't improved my mood.

My brother is also having to stay at my apartment today while my mom and step-dad are working because his school band committee left deli meat out in 102 degree heat and it went rancid and they still served it to everyone at the band meeting they were supposed to provide food for. So there is a confirmed outbreak of food poisoning at that school which my brother is a victim of. This isn't the first time he's gotten food poisoning from the school either. He got it first day of school after eating one of the school lunches.

Sorry to hear all of that. Unfortunaly most companies have more then 1 person applying so if you don't pick up they will just call the next. I hope you can get the job at starbucks.

@vengeance: I have been to interviews where I wasn’t the only one waiting to be interviewed. The amount of people doesn’t really matter. They still will schedule an interview. I have also been to an interview where I missed the first call, but because I’m a responsible adult I called back right away.
Same this time. When I noticed the call I called back right away and tried to schedule an interview. They said they’d call me back. Never did so I called them. Was told the hiring manager was not in and to call again. I do, and no one picks up. So not really my fault here. And they have my email, which I have also checked multiple times, and I don’t have anything from them. And it’s not a company, it’s a small business so they kind of need help just as much as I need a job.

@totalanimefan: How have you been doing?
