@shadowman: Oh, amen. I'm trying to start getting some creative income of my own soon and that's pretty much how I feel about it.
@shadowman: I'm planning to sell merchandise at conventions. My first con is going to be in mid-february, and I'm a little nervous about having enough designs in time, but I also need to balance drawing with taking care of myself.

@superbearwars: Believe me, I feel you there. I'm also not very confident in my art and I don't see myself as a professional, but I try to improve when I have the urge. Pixeling has been a bit more of a professional side of me, tho, so I dunno. Maybe I can pursue it to the end!
@Shadowman: yeah, self esteem is the toughest part of being an artist. I'm really excited despite all of the tough stuff though! And I enjoy the heck out of the experience so far. Plus, I'm gaining confidence as I go along.
@superbearwars: Experience certainly does help with experience, I can agree. It also helps to have some good friends or supportive people around you! It's hard to see your own talent, but hearing it from others can really help put you in perspective!
@Shadowman: definitely! A supportive friend group is the reason I have the amount of confidence I have to begin with.
