*dun dun dun*

okay so a few months ago or something i heard this music start playing in my room. it reminded me of like those handheld games you used to get as happy meal toys and stuff, do you know what i mean? just a short little tune. it sounded like it was coming from my laptop, but my laptop was off. a few weeks/months would go by and then i'd hear it again. this happened a few times.

now today i hear it and it sounds like it's coming from near my bed, not my laptop. i've heard it twice today. creepy. first of all, why does it seem like the sound moved? second, wtf is it and why is it happening more?? i can't find anything in my room that would make noise.

maybe i'm crazy. maybe there's a ghost messing with me. option two is probable since something literally poked me while i was sleeping yesterday and that was pretty creepy.

@toxxic: Spirits can be attached to land, not just a home, so despite having a newer home something could be there. As of right now, if it is a spirit, it seems friendly and maybe slowly trying to get your attention?

None of your electronics make any similar noises? Spirits use energy from devices and people to try and manifest.

If it's a spirit. Not trying to frighten.

@Lithium: when I first heard it, everything in my room was off except for my phone, and I knew it wasn't that. I don't think there is anything else in my room that could make noise which is the weird part. I have a tablet and a gameboy but both are off so unless a ghost knows how to get them to play music without turning on lol

Never heard the sound before that day. Maybe some day I'll be cleaning my room and find a little handheld game or something but then I'd be surprised the battery hasn't died. I'm just so confused lol

@Lithium: I sometimes hear random noises like something moved on my desk or whatever. I'm like okay ghost you can chill just don't touch me. Too bad I can't make contact without potentially inviting in some demons

in case anyone was wondering, said music has changed. it's longer now and a little different. happens almost daily. i really have no idea

I'm incredibly curious as to what this phenomenon could be. O.O

The closest thing I've had happen to me was a new feature on Discord. I had no idea where the sound was coming from, but I eventually found out it was someone calling me. XD

One other time that I can remember was an elusive musical ad placed on a program that was playing in the background of my computer...

Maybe it's something of that nature?

I once heard a sound like Balloon Boy saying "Hello." on FNAF. My old roommate heard it, too. I chalked it up to the vent. Even though we would find things that neither of us brought into the apartment and sometimes I'll notice lights left on or things moved... Idk if someone is sneaking into my apartment when I'm not home or what. =/

@Yokuutsu: Well, when my ex was pregnant with our twins we needed more space than we had at our old place, so we began house hunting. We found this house and toured it. I noticed the basement door and inquired about it since we were not shown the basement. The guy kind of seemed a bit iffy but agreed. We followed him down the stairs and I don't really know why but half of the basement was floored and half was just dirt. I noticed there seemed to be a freshly buried patch in the dirt part with a shovel on it. It looked big enough to fit a body, so I nudged my ex wife and joked that a body had been buried there. The guy said we had seen enough and we went back upstairs. My kids and ex begged me not to buy the house because I freaked them out with my comment. I didn't listen and we bought it. We moved in and there was this one room upstairs were I walked in and I just got an intense feeling of dread and impending doom. It was very cold in there compared to the rest of the house. I felt very uneasy and left. We started noticing a very awful smell that seems to happen around the same time every night, at about 9:30 give or take. It smells like a mix of moth balls, old people smell, and sewage. We don't have a septic system. I had someone come in and check the pipes. Nothing wrong. The lights started flickering a lot and so I had the place rewired but it still does it. Sometimes we hear scratching sounds on the door. We do have mice in the house, so I think that is probably just the mice. Anyway, everytime I am forced to enter that room, I get highly paranoid that I'm not the only one in there. My hair stands on end, I get goosebumps and I get that feeling of impending doom and dread. My mother is sensitive to this kind of stuff, as a kid she had what every one thought was an imaginary friend but she insisted that he was real and buried under a bush in her yard. When she grew up, she asked my Uncle (Dad's brother) who researches history regularly to see if he could find a death record for this boy. She gave him the name and cause and date of death (starvation from the potato famine in 1847) . My uncle actually ended up finding a death record matching what she told him exactly. Still, a lot of people think she's nuts. Anyway, my mom came over and I insisted on showing her something but she had to pass the room and the door was open. She wouldn't. The more I pushed for her to suck it up and walk by, the more flustered she became, so I dropped it and we went back downstairs. I'm not the only one who's noticed some of this stuff to. Idk. I feel like something happened in that room and I feel like that room and what happened in the basement when we were considering the house is connected. I never dug up the basement when I moved in. I was too freaked out by what I could potentially find.

I know it's nothing coming from my laptop because it has been off a few times it happened, and it can't be my phone because I always have it on silent/vibrate. I've tried to look for where it's coming from but I can't seem to find anything
