What is a Nuzlocke?
A Nuzlocke is a playthrough of a Pokemon game using a self-imposed modified ruleset, to make the game more challenging and for fun. Usually players track their Nuzlockes online, and sometimes post drawings or stories to go along with their playthrough.

Playthrough Rules
-Permabox a Pokémon on KO; running out of Pokémon is Game Over
-Catch only the first Pokémon you encounter in each route
-(May make an exception for shinies)
-Box starter as soon as possible
-Battle type is “set"
-May avoid duplicate Pokémon ("no dupes” clause)
-Unlimited Pokémon Center uses (I’m casual and paranoid as all hell!)
-May buy and use unlimited Pokeballs
-EXP share is turned off
-No held items
-No Pokémon Refresh
-Do not use Pokémon given by NPCs
-No TMs

The Story So Far

Prologue
It was a dark and stormy night.
Tania leaned against the Pokemon Center wall, shielding her cigarette from the blistering wind. “Fuck,” she sighed.
Vinnie stood next to her. “The Don is dead.”
Vinnie was a shithead. Always saying obvious shit like that. Overnight they’d gone from the most powerful gang in Alola to just a bunch of strays. Of course Tania knew how bad it was–she was the one who had to take care of their brothers and sisters, make sure they were safe.
But they weren’t.
“This ain’t our Alola anymore.”
