Hayden watched the movie, smirking and chuckling when he remembered certain parts of the movie and raising an eyebrow if the scene didn't make since, or if he didn't get why it was funny. His arm tightened around Aria if he noticed her glancing away from the screen. It brought back some of the best memories he ever had as a kid- mainly being with Aria. Even as she began to doze off, Hayden would shift his gaze between the movie and her from time to time, just to see if she actually fallen asleep. Which, he wouldn't mind. They were together, after all those years..

The only he was worried about now, was his so called 'friends' recognizing one of both of them during a trip to town and stirring up trouble. He vowed though, to protect her if they did show up and start trouble. She was far to precious..

Hayden did a lot of sleeping over the next few days, mostly napping because he couldn't sleep at night.

Despite his preference of staying indoors, he did go out with Aria the last time she asked. They ended up going to an animal shelter and he glanced at Aria. "Are you sure? I wouldn't even know how to take care of one." He murmured quietly, a little embarrassed.

Hayden hesitantly nodded to her words and smiled a little. "Let's look for the puppies." He said, taking her hand and leading her through the shelter until they found where they kept the puppies, they were in an big open area behind some glass and playing together. They were all so cute, and so small!

But, he spotted one that even tinier than the others and slowly approached the glass. It was all by itself and he waved over a tenant. "I'll take that one." He said, earning a concerned look from the guy. "She's a runt, and she's sick, that's why she's separated from the others. Are you sure?" Hayden nodded. The small white puppy was kind of like him, and needed someone to care for it.

Hayden carefully held the puppy in his arms, making sure to have any meds they were giving her. The poor thing looked like a ball of white fluff as it tucked itself within his arms and jacket as he and Aria picked up the puppy food and toys. He kept stroking it's fur with his index finger as if trying to reassure the puppy that she'd be alright.

Hayden glanced at her as she spoke. "Don't worry about their shots, they have to have them before they can be put up for adoption." He said casually. "As for being fixed, they might not be old enough." He mused quietly, gently stroking the head of the puppy in his jacket. A name.. He needed to give her a proper name, not just something off the top of his head.

Once they got home, Hayden got out of the car and lightly cradled his puppy with one arm, while helping Aria unload the car and put the stuff on the porch.
