Ugh!
I cannot believe someone is stupid enough to cast such a simple spell correctly! Those learned in the art of witchcraft are careful enough to speak incantations clearly. Someone has done just the opposite. Do you see these ridiculous, heathen imps running around? They look like this:
Someone obviously misspoke when they attempted to cast an incantation. Whenever someone doesn’t know the proper pronunciation for a spell, the spell doesn’t work at all. In fact, it turns into a huge mess. A lot of the time when that happens, these creatures come forth from the underworld to wreak havoc. The longer they’re around, the worse off everyone in the realms is.
I have an ideal spell to get rid of them, but I need them all rounded up first so I can take care of them in one go. I’m a fantastic witch, but even I can’t manage to grab up all these imps. It would take me centuries. I hate to ask this of mortals, but can you all help me? I’ll keep an eye out for you and let you know when these pesky imps appear. I’ll even reward those who help me round up the most. Keep on your toes, they can show up at any time …
