double-side tape at the edge?

I tried many ways, it never worked. I just wipe down the counter when I need to cook on it. SHRUGS....

I've so far just attempted tin foil to no avail. He loves it

Lemons and tape next

Also training him to get down I guess

I got some bitter citrus sprays for my cords when miu chewed on them years ago, they worked really well. not sure how well they do for surfaces, but I wouldn't recommend that because it gets on your skin and stays there even after many washes.

LOL i just saw the tin foil comment, i was 2 late

everyone in my house is a pushover for our cat in different ways so there's no way he'd take to any training attempts

WAIT is there a cupboard or something above the counter you could create a cling film barrier with? like tape at the top and at the bottom so if he tries to jump up he gets blocked and/or tangled up in it to the point of being put off?

I've had a friend who had great success with clicker training. it'll take some time, but might be rewarding.

Moon Pie was doing pretty well with clicker training when he was solo but I've only had one session with them both and sun cake doesn't get it yet. I'll have to train moon pie to wait first and then try to get alone time to train sun cake

All moon pie learned was to sit and come before I got sun cake lol
