@sunny: That sucks. D; I also wish the government would make up their mind about the checks they're supposedly going to send out to whoever qualifies for them. I'm sure there are people out there who could really use that money to get their needed supplies.
Forums General Chit-Chat How are you doing?
@vengeance: I agree. We are not technically in lockdown yet but we are very close :/
@Aisukohi: Oh your government is sending checks? That's a great idea! People need help now, not later.
@Aisukohi: Haha too right! My government is telling people to claim benefits, and they are finally having to admit that the benefits system sucks..... Suddenly they care about it.
@sunny: lol yep, government is so broken in so many ways. May I ask where you live?
@sunny: You probably get asked this a lot, but does it really rain there like all the time?
@Aisukohi: Lol no one has ever asked me that before? It doesn't rain ALL the time, but most days yes it does, though sometimes just a light shower. Especially in spring. I live in England near the hills, so we get a lot of sudden onset rain. It rains more often in Wales XD
@sunny: Yeesh lol. I dunno if I could deal with all that rain, but then I come from the Sunshine State, so. :P
It rains the most here in the summer and leading up to fall when it's hurricane season.

@Aisukohi: Hurricanes are scary :O I don't know hhow people deal with those. I would have to leave lol
@sunny: I guess it depends on what evacuation zone you live in. Obviously those living near bodies of water are bound to be the most affected, but we've been lucky enough to not suffer any serious damage. We've had 3 within the last 5 years, which is crazy. Some areas were completely destroyed, but they were probably crumbling before the hurricane was a thing.
One thing I wouldn't be able to stand is living in an active tornado zone. At least with hurricanes, you get plenty of warning to know where they're going and when they're leaving. Tornadoes are too quick for that and therefore hella scary to me.

@Aisukohi: I didn't realise there was a difference between hurricanes and tornadoes? Either one is scary to me :O
@sunny: The main difference is their source--hurricanes occur where there's an abundance of water (they start over the ocean as tropical storms) and tornadoes start over land.
I've been through typhoons as well, which are essentially the same as hurricanes, and those weren't that bad at all. BUT the architecture of the area I lived in at the time was literally built for such events.

@Aisukohi: oh that makes sense. I think tornadoes are the ones that scare me. Like in that movie Twister. That gave me nightmares as a kid XD
@sunny: Right? Like I said, I dunno how people live in areas where those are common knowing that you could lose everything in a matter of minutes. x-x
Just fine as usual. I'm trying to distract myself by watching random videos on YT or maybe listening to my favourite songs from boredom.
@Aisukohi: i can't imagine it either :o I would be genuinely terrified all the time.
@ChiffonOrange: what music are you listening to?
currently: new novel who dis?
