i tend to stick to pastels
Even when using black i tend to use a pastel as the complimenting colors.
gold is vary nice also. Prob one of my fav colors to use.

I like darker colors myself. Purple/black/and cyan blue is my favorite combo.

I Do enjoy making fully black avatars.
But if we are talking about dark colors in e general its a bit harder.
