@Lilykin: hmmm not really, i don't really follow tutorials for programs in general unless it's something very specific like their 3d models or animation features
are you just using it for general drawing?
Benefits to being a n00b and not having many items: fast inventory load times heh.

Yeah, I'm just doodling right now. Trying to get the feel for it. I finally got the pen pressure where I want it so that helped tremendously lol. I haven't drawn extensively on the computer since... 2016??? Which is coincidentally when my old laptop stop letting me run PS for more than 10 mins at a time haha

@Lilykin: oh yeah pen pressure can be finicky and hard to get something you like.. i switched over from SAI and could barely use CSP for like a whole year haha
i gave up on drawing on PS like a decade+ ago LOL

I never could get into Sai. For a long time I used Firealpaca to ink and then PS to color. Then I did solely vectors when I was taking figure drawing classes. I was so tired of doing charcoal drawings all day I just wanted to shut my brain off for a bit lol

@Lilykin: i switched to SAI in like... '08 iirc LOL
then switched fully to CSP in... '16 i think, since SAI doesn't run on mac os haha
vector is a pain in the ass and i'm in Pain thinking about it but also csp's vector layers... look useful (thinking emoji

I found vector art to be a lot easier in Inkscape than Illustrator. Though I'd still prefer Illustrator for letter work.
I think once I get comfortable inking again I'll mess with CSP's vector lineart

i've had to use illustrator for work but honestly i still. am really bad at that program LMFAO

It's free and has a pretty big community. It was fairly easy to find tutorials to follow. I used it pretty extensively in college b/c I was to broke for Illustrator and the school computers were always locked up when I needed them >:(

@Lilykin: my school's design program luckily gave us the programs for free so i'm still running CS6 haha
but holy shit yeah i hate that lol i get that they need $$$ but for smaller artists/designers this is completely unaffordable hahaha

I Ps7 waaay past it's expiration date. My professors hated it but my work was just as good as anyone else's. They also hated when I'd reccomend other free programs but like?? If it works???
