Forums Entertainment What is on your happy playlist?

Donator — SIR Posted 5 years ago ( 2020/04/8 16:02:08 )
So part of what I do for work requires quite a bit of driving. And to be honest after recent events I'm a bit down. So I was thinking to myself I need some happy songs things I can listen to that are up beat or that are positive with their lyrics things like that. So my question to all of you is what song do you listen to that lifts your spirits? What's on your happy playlist?

The only happy music (or atleast happy sounding music) I listen to are some Japanese bands.

@Xanthan: I would have to say showtunes. Wicked, Hairspray, Godspell, Chicago, In the Heights, Cats, and more! I would also say Les Miserables but that has more sad than happy odosdfs

@vengeance: Japanese music is fine with me. My playlists and taste in music goes from country to kpop to pop and rap and more. Lol Rookiez I think I am familiar with. Thank you for the new songs to check out.

@DevilkinBoi: take your time my friend.

@Shark: ooh lots of new names. I am loving this thread. :)

@kaichoukai: I like some showtunes though dare I say I dont always feel like a good gay. I'm not big into musicals and I cannot dress myself. And I didn't find Rent to be appealing and want my time back I spent watching it lol I do however love Name and Annie Get Your Gun songs. And some others.

@Totalanimefan: ooh more new names! Yes please!

Thank you all for contributing. I have a musical journey to embark on now. :)

@Xanthan: From looking through my playlist(which has over 4000+ songs), most of the happy sounding ones were from Dance Dance Revolution, the happy cutesy Japanese music.

@DevilkinBoi: that is awesome a little information on me. I've had two knee surgeries well three but I sure do love to attempt Dance Revolution. I may not be great at it but boy is it entertaining LOL

@Xanthan: I haven't played in years! Brother had a copy of Dance Dance Revolution Konamix when we were kids and we'd play it all the time.

@DevilkinBoi: I would play that but I also played like Guitar Hero and those sorts. With social distancing maybe I should get back into more gaming who knows? Right now I'm spending a lot of time on self-improvement and certifications. I guess to some people that sounds boring but as a nerd I kind of did it LOL

@DevilkinBoi: hey if it keeps you sane. I do love audio books but I drive a lot for work. I just make sure I take care of business and responsibilities before my fun times lol

@Xanthan: Won't have any work for quite a while. Company I work for is only doing repairs, and my money comes from installations(I design ATM screens). So no workies for me.

Doja Cat - Boss Bitch
Sofi Tukker - Purple Hat
Sunni Colon - Supernova
girl in red - we fell in love in october
Wit Blu - Burgundy (lyrics are morbid but give it 45 seconds!)
Miami Horror - Love Like Mine (Bee's Knees Remix)
Giraffage - Maybes (RAC Mix)
Young & Sick - Ojai

There's something foul about the air here...

Ocean Man and a good bit of vaporwave

Now, on my "get happy" playlist (aka I'm angry and need to calm down), it's a lot of Gojira, 3TEETH, and a buncha other metal bands

Happy upbeat music to me is what makes you feel good... so I have a lot of Fleetwood Mac, LIVE, Distrubed, and music from the 80's and 90's. (Stuff I grew up on...) Although for some reason this band called The Hu which I have no idea what they are singing... but it just blows my mind away(Mongolian band)

This is exactly

I listen to a lot of covers that change the songs to match different eras in music. Especially alt. punk stuff in the style of the big band era.

what you think it is.
