@MoodyBats: Might be time to invest in your own. You can get a decent one for $20-30. If nothing else make yourself a rice sock

@Lilykin: i have to save my money for other things.
So I can't really spend like $30 as that is half of my money.

//doesn't make hardly any money

I'm not often in pain so I don't really need one.
If she's not using it, I'll use it then.

@MoodyBats: I'd def recc making a rice sock then. It's basically a long sock+rice that you heat in the microwave but there's plenty of tutorials online

A rice sock sounds interesting. My bf's had some foot pain recently so that might help him out a bit.

I used to make those a lot for my mom, when I was younger.
They are nice and very easy.

@MoodyBats: That stinks :( There are tutorials for sewn ones if it's the shape that's bothering you. You can microwave a WET hand towel/wash cloth, place it in a ziplock and then wrap it with a t-shirt or another towel. It's easier to burn yourself with that method so be careful

@Lilykin: I don't know how to sew. :vanora_sweat:

But I'm fine for now.
when she doesn't need it, I'll just use the one we have.

It's a good skill to have. At minimum I think everyone should know how to whip stitch, sew on a button, and tie a knot

It's not difficult - I taught myself how to sew in college. Made a couple lil plush toys. And, it's a rather cheap hobby. I used it as an anti-anxiety for a while, focusing in the stitching helped me keep my brain in line.

If I were still at home I'd send you my old sewing kit, Moody. D: But now it's like 600 miles away.

@Addy: i have old sewing supplies but no time to actually
sit and learn it because right now, my art is a priority.
Especially when my dad is unemployed :vanora_sweat:
So I kinda have the stress of bringing in the income.

@MoodyBats: Yikes that does sound stressful. Any success on Redbubble or do you rely more on commissions?

@Lilykin: I haven't started commissions.
I still need to refresh my memory on a lot on what I want to do for them
and get avatar commissions finished first and out of the way before I start them.

Red bubble is not successful at all.
But probably if I draw fanart It will be.

@MoodyBats: I just started my RB but I haven't promoted it all or anything. I'm leery of throwing fanart up b/c with my luck I'd get a copyright strike XP
It's been so long since I've done commissions I hardly know were to start lol

@Lilykin: They do allow fanart i don't know how their system works with it yet
but there is TONS of it on there.

I know a general idea since all i watch is art videos and they're about commissions too.
just very hesitant with starting.
Especially since i kinda do not like my work lol

@MoodyBats: They allow it the same way etsy allows it. As long as no one files a takedown they don't care b/c it's making them money. A lot of companies don't really bother with fanart sales as long as it's a) original art and b) not mass produced. But there are plenty that employ people to issue dmca takedowns to anything remotely infringing on their copyright -cough- d*sney -cough-

I'd love to take commissions but honestly they don't seem worth the hassle most of the time. I'd much rather have a passive income like my etsy patterns. I'd like to eventually bump my measly $20 extra a month to $100. (And honestly I'm not sure if my art is worth offering if no one's asking haha -_-; )

@Lilykin: I just avoid ones that have trademarked things or are very finicky.
Hello Kitty is one and another one form an anime
but i forgot what it's called.
But all i want to draw is like sailor moon which red bubble has tons of.
And adventure time as they have a fanart program on redbubble.

Unfortunately, i don't really have a choice right now considering the virus and income situation.
Love to have a safe income but that's not gonna happen for some time.

I don't know if my art is even worth purchasing, but I suppose I'll find out.
