@MoodyBats: Some of it def seems to boil down to personality. When I watch someone like Lavendertowne I feel like a lot of driving force is their persona and not so much the art (no hate, it's just not my favorite). Or storytelling like Homestuck (again, no hate, just not my taste)
And I've def followed plenty of artists for those reasons. Some of my fav webcomics had abysmal art at the beginning and some haven't changed in years lol

From what I've experienced, RB is pretty chill about copyright strikes. They just take the work down and let you know. Only if you upload it again does it hold anything against your account. They're weird about removing fan art but leaving up people uploading official artwork sometimes... and using certain keywords gets it auto-removed. (Gengar is a no-no but you can upload Haunter stickers just fine! ... for a while, anyway, a year later Haunter got taken down too.)
So I'm working on coming up with ideas to paint onto those little Oui yogurt jars.
I want to do some donuts on one, but I'm not sure if I should make them fill the whole space or have a white or like light blue back ground and just put a bunch of them on there randomly, with the background still showing through.
What does everyone think??

@blinkini: I'd personally space them a bit with the background showing through. At such a small scale it'll make it hard for all the details to be differentiated at a distance

marketing yourself is a whole other thing you gotta work on when you're trying to build up clientele, it's difficult but gotta put in that work if you want to keep a constant stream of commissions coming ~_~

Etsy wants to be amazon soo bad but they leave the small artists in the lurch. Like, the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do 😑
