.. is starting in a month! Who on here is part of it? Gonna join in this year too?
I would love to attack my voltra friends when it launches~

For those who don't know, its an annual event where artists will be split into two separate teams, and they "fight" each other by drawing for each other. It's essentially a mass art trade. I don't remember if I'm allowed to link the website, but I don't think there is any conflict of interest?

Anyway, yeah, I'm always real excited for this event. It's kind of a nostalgic feel, even thought I've only attended 2 years of it so far.

I've only been here for a week or two + I'm a lurker and not so much adept at joining in or starting a conversation (I'm trying though, but it's hard), so it's not surprising you haven't seen me around yet! haha

Ah you're too nice. I really need a lot more proper practice on the basics, just drawing the simplest things takes me forever haha. I only managed 3 drawings in artfight last year, and 2 back in 2017, so I can't say I put out a lot of attacks at all ^^"
Should I join this year, I think it might end up the same as the years before haha.

I'm always amazed at how some artfighters can make so much drawings in such a relatively short span of time!

Even if you don't draw that many, if its fun to you, you should still join this year! There shouldn't be any obligation to draw heaps of pictures haha
I've gotten fairly quick about making simple bust portraits, just out of repetition. So I would pump out a bunch of those mostly. But I've done that so much that I start to feel the images are redundant and uninteresting. I seriously need to practice dynamic poses again... with legs.

I'm guessing you have a phone/tablet, (since... I'm guessing that's how you're here on Volt with a dead pc), and that has a camera. Pencil and paper then snap a pic~<3

And not sculpts, I think. (can't remember if there's a categorisation for that)
But if you draw, whether digital or traditional, you're good!

Both 2018 and 2019 I did stritctly traditional art. All good =)

Could always try doing traditional if you wanted? but I know most dont prefer to use that method when sending things digitally.

Discord tends to be more helpful in learning the ins and outs of the event! The mods on there are very friendly and helpful.

I just double checked with a mod actually, traditional art is very much welcomed! If you guys can get clear photos or a scanned image of the drawing it'll totally work out if you wanted to join in that way <3
