Leave him aloneGods I love this campaign. We're all off doing downtime rp stuff, and my character gets lost of course. While lost some jackass steals her very important lute. She crumbles to the ground crying. Some awesome overly enthusiastic I guess paladin sees her crying. Picks her up asking what happened. He helps Uni find the ass hole who stole her money maker. So she tries to shoot the guy. I roll an 8. But still manage to catch him in some clothes she cut down by accident. When she gets to the bad guy, she hops off the paladin's shoulders. And kicks bad guy square in the dick, and forces him to kiss her boots in apology.

i usually give myself time to mope when i need to, usually 1-2 days
like make sure i'm really processing and understanding what's happening, how/why it affects me, etc.
(make sure coping mechanisms are for coping and not running away from the problem)
like take it easy / it's ok to be a sad potato for a bit
afterwards i'm like ok, i need to get it together and take care of myself, so i'll set stuff up for the week:
- do a little workout before i shower (even 5-10 minutes is good!)
- set up plans to talk/video chat with friends, check in on friends who are more directly affected
- make sure i have everything i need (food, supplies)
- go for a walk if i have the energy
- get my sleep schedule together
- also i would really recommend this resource! Everything Is Awful and I'm Not Okay: questions to ask before giving up
- making sure i eat/hydrate/move/shower is a super helpful checklist
big tip i would recommend is to log out of social media when u need to!
i know people have different relationships to exercise but it's probably my main and most reliable source of like dopamine/serotonin/endorphins + chronic pain management currently
