Tannyll just nodded in response.

By the time that he had finished giving Roxie a tour of what she was to see, she noticed that it was already nightfall. It had taken that long to get it done.

"All right." Tannyll said, looking at the clock.

"You should probably report back to Master." he told her.

"And he'll probably tell you to go to sleep soon." he continued.

"By the way, don't be surprised if he wakes you up and weird hours to get him something." he warned her.

"A proper sleep schedule can be difficult to maintain for Master's personal maid."

Tannyll merely nodded in response.

"You're welcome." he replied.

"Hope to see you again, soon." he told her with a smile.

"TANNYLL!" they then heard one of the other servants bellow out, causing the younger to jump a little.

"Ah! Y-yes!?" he exclaimed, turning to them.

"Chop-chop! You know what you need to do before you turn in!" they responded.

"Coming!" Tannyll called back.

"See you!" he said to Roxie, before running off and leaving her alone for the time being.

"...enter." she heard him say, sounding VERY unimpressed.

When she did, and the man looked at her, she saw his annoyed expression turn softer, and he smiled.

"Ah, good." he said.

"Tannyll must have finished giving you the tour of the place." he commented.

"Good, good." he repeated.

"I had one of my other servants take the dish away once I had finished the cake, but in the future that will be your job." he told her.

"As for the rest of the night, I suggest you go and get some sleep." he went on.

"Before that, have you any questions?" he then asked.

The man thought for a moment.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Downtime..." he said.

"Well, I DO allow all of my staff one day off a week." he told her.

"On that day, you are allowed to avail yourself to whatever facilities you find on the property." he said further.

"However, as far as going OFF the property, I'm afraid you'll have to be under strict escort for that." he continued.

"I am a wealthy man, but I like my privacy. I don't want any of my staff being harassed by press or paparazzi." he explained. "So it will need to be set up so you can run whatever errand you need to, off the radar." he finished.

"You do that, then." he replied.

"Oh, and there are multiple identical outfits in your closet." he told her.

"I hardly expect you to wear the exact same one every day. That is very unhygienic." he reasoned. "Feel free to alter those outfits to be like what you currently have." he continued.

"It's growing on me." he smirked.

"But take your dirty outfits and leave them in the hamper by your door." he continued.

"They will be picked up and laundered every 3 days."

"Ah! Yes!" he replied.

He then beckoned her to come closer, which she did. He reached into a nearby drawer, and pulled out what looked to be a credit card. Which it was, but it was clearly a pre-loaded one.

"Here." he told her.

"This is a card specifically for the website listed on it." he told her. "Your room has a laptop in it, though I DO warn you, internet usage IS monitored and controlled." he continued, issuing a couple of warnings.

"Use the balance on it to order whatever you feel you need for undergarments and personal/casual attire." he continued.

"Delivery happens within 24 hours of ordering, so if you do so right away, it will be here by tomorrow night." he finished.

When she logged into the laptop, she saw it was already connected to the net, and noticed it was free for her to customise and such. When she accessed the net, she could tell that protections were installed, as some of the techs at the Unit had shown her how to spot the icons and such. Not that she could do anything about it, but she could tell that internet WAS, in fact, limited. At least, there were sites he didn't want his staff going to.

The clothing site was accessible, obviously, and when she got to it, she could tell that it was top-quality, top-tier, top-price stuff. Which was to say, even those that were paid well at the Unit would need to carefully consider purchases from this designer.

When she entered the card number on the site to start to set up her online shopping cart for a speedy checkout, she noticed that the amount on it was... almost obscene. She had close to 70,000 dollars available for her to spend.

And that was when she received a response.

While I normally don't like this sort of measure, I can understand it. I'll have the techs do so within the next 24 hours. the text read.

We do need your phone. was the text she received.

Send it whenever you can. the next one read.

We'll trace the exact point it was sent from, and have it send back under the radar. the third one told her.

After the soft chimes, there was silence.

The silence of the room around her, and the wind that blew softly outside her window.

If nothing else, she was living in style now.

After a moment, she received a response.

Roxie? Azazel replied.

I... no. No, not really. he told her.

Why? he asked.

What's going on? he asked her.

And why are you contacting me like THIS? he then asked further. I know we can do it, being demons and all, but you hardly EVER resort to this form of communication.

I hate being left out of the loop like this, Roxie. Azazel responded.

But this must be important. he then said, with her hearing him sighing.

Got it. Take your phone to the boss. he continued.

I have NO idea what you've decided to get yourself into this time, Roxie... he went on, trailing off for a bit.
