@Tuijp: If you like the style why don't you like the movies/series..I don't understand..
@Another Movie Addict: It's coz they used older characters who don't really have that sense of wonder anymore. No sense of adventure either since they never really leave the city they start in..
@Saeyra: Outside of the lady on lady relationship which is muuuuuuuuch later, the characters don't really have that great of chemistry either.
@Another Movie Addict: The lady on lady action was extremely disappointing. I couldn't even tell if they were friends or something more. They didn't have the balls to go all the way.
@Tuijp: You are a straaaaange specimen...I have never met anyone like you. Maybe you just haven't found an anime you like?
@Saeyra: Not until the very last bit of the series, and even then the writers and creator had to confirm that they were in fact together and not just close friends. I'm sure it was a bitch to work around Nick's rules.
@Another Movie Addict: If they had to confirm it after the fact it wasn't portrayed very well imo :vanora_unamused:
@Another Movie Addict: Also, why did they write such a grown up cartoon for a kids channel??
@Saeyra: Yeah I can see that. What choices did they really have? Nick bought the show and gave them money and a chance to air their show. Cartoon Network are the idiots who passed on the first show twice. Besides as mature as the characters and story, it was intended for kids.
@Another Movie Addict: I don't think kids are gonna understand the politics in the show..also the main character gets depressed ALL the time
@Saeyra: Lol I didn't say it was meant for little little kids, but it was intended for children. The point for making it mature was that the writers and creators didn't want to sell kids short. They believed that kids can understand and deserve something that'll make'em think.
@Another Movie Addict: Did it work? I haven't discussed this with a kid yet. :vanora_xd:
@Saeyra: No idea, I don't know very many kids to be honest. The only one I know is a toddler and only cares about Batman and dinosaurs.
o.o yeah, you don't really see me getting onto him for not liking musicals even though I do.
@Tuijp: I am not saying that you need to like the same things I do but when I like something (artwise) I immerse myself in it, to learn how it works and how to replicate it, what makes it good. What can I do to make it better...you know..explore it. I did it with the comic style, I read comics...I like the disney style I watched the movies. It's sortof a learning thing.
Woohoo! -happy dance- I've almost completed an entire day without a day eating nap. >w< maybe I'll actually sleep all of tonight and not randomly wake up at 2am again.
