need to work on hair :0
i tried a different sketching underlayer style -- using a thin pencilly brush -- and liked my old way better lol (thicker and opacity)
could also spend a little more time on non-face areas lol
testing out photoshop ... is nice and i'm more familiar w the interface / approach but don't have good brushes, want to download more painting/texture brushes

another artfight .........
tried a new hair technique :0 not sure how i feel abt it but it was good practice !!
i think i prefer simple shapes for hair, want to practice that more next time
also still trying to get used to photoshop ....
want to download textured brushes but don't have internet today :vichardxC:
partly cuz of storm but also just bc my provider sucks >:-/
i think next time would like to try:
- softer faces... lol. more feminine. eyelashes, lipstick etc. maybe do a photo study
- still figuring out hair
- brushes thing
in the future i also wanna try:
- more composition / full body ... everything so far has been bust only. could be good for speedpaint practice too, like to block out big shapes Only
- what is my relationship to lines / lineart?? still unclear
- i probably overrely on overlay/soft light layers which indicates maybe needing more color picking practice !

snuck in 1 last artfight attack today :3 i wasn't planning on it, i started it around 7pm w <2 hrs left lol
not bad, def rushed near the end , i might have redone some of the shading on the face/nose but mm not bad for 1.5-2 hrs :-0
i like how it came out even though it wasn't look good around the flatcolor stage lol
still trying to work out a good process but i think i found some brushes i like working with ^^
i think i'm gonna start adding paper texture to my pieces as well :3
the texture is a bit small on this one, i didn't have time to tweak it lol but gonna make it bigger + more clearly textured next time
