yeah i feel - i was veg / vegan throughout parts of my life but i was never dogmatic abt it
i feel like it's important to me to not think abt food in terms of punishment / "i shouldn't" but in terms of nourishment / joy etc
i've been cooking mostly vegetarian this year since plant based protein lasts way longer than meat! esp dried beans etc

ooh i get most of my protein from beans, chickpeas, and eggs i think ... sometimes tofu tho!
i'll do black bean tacos, chili, lentil soup, etc. though the main thing i focus on is getting enough protein so i'm not feeling hungry
the beans and chickpeas last like forever since they're mostly dried or sometimes canned (takes some planning tho - gotta soak overnight but i'll make extra and freeze for future me!)
i had an impossible burger once! it was p good ^^
i think there are but since it's nyc there are a lot more like local/family mexican i would hit up first
i love qdoba tho lol i like how their guac is free
