I got prescribed a bunch while in a psych ward years ago - it's been adjusted over time, but yeah I take them all at once !! Without my meds it's very hard for me to sleep =v=

@xvz: i cant sleep when i need sleep, get woken up by my not so great neighbor and there loud truck playing loud music or partying, it is younger than my age

I guess insomnia ?? I've always had a hard time falling asleep n staying asleep at night. I'm sleepy during the day though, which leads me to think my circadian rhythm isn't normal :0

@koneko: Melatonin might help! I also take Benadryl, tho your mileage may vary with that lol

mine's not too bad actually i had insomnia for most of my life but somehow my schedule normalized the past few years
i think largely bc of working a day job?? (tho didn't work for middle or hs apparently lol - despite trying really hard!!)
and also i realized insomnia came from constant thinking whereas now i decompress/process before bedtime etc

paralysis i would think i'm awake (but actually in a dream), i see my environment but there's a huge pressure squeezing me and it felt physically real and i would have to force myself awake except i can't move!! luckily it doesn't happen as much anymore though now that my sleeping is better haha

Surprisingly I've only had sleep paralysis a couple of times - both were very unsettling TwT

@koneko: Melatonin helps me fall asleep mainly - benadryl keeps me asleep :>
I also take.. 2 benadryl a night now, since my sleep's not as great lately (my doc said it was okay to take 2 btw)
I also have mugwort tea sometimes before bed - weird tasting, but helps me sleep =v=

Also, when I try to sleep without my meds it feels like my body's numb/cold/staticy ??? It's v uncomfortable lol

i hope our sleep paralysis days are behind us all!!

when i had insomnia melatonin didn't help w sleeping (though i can tell it had an affect cuz it affected my dreams)
i think bc ultimately the issue was like me not being able to stop thinking and not like my body wasn't ready for the sleep .... ?

Benadryl helps with anxiety ?? :0

Also, Melatonin is a hit or miss for most people tbh, my best friend has weird dreams if he takes any at all!

at the risk of entering dangerous territory by suggesting supplements lol -
i take ashwagandha and it helps a ton for me w/ mood and sleep, like it's v noticeably helpful
my anxiety isn't too bad to begin w but i read that it can help a lot!!

I have mugwort + lavender tea before bed to help relax :0
I haven't heard of ashwagandha before, I wonder where I could find it ??

i ended up ordering it online - but you could probably find it at a drug or health/supplement store?
the powder form is kind of bitter so i take pills :0 sometimes you can find it combined w like cbd i think
(maybe you can find it wherever you get ur cbd from?)
haha i wish i could give u some to try if you wanted

i def wanna try ur tea combo sometime ^^

@xvz: Ohh, I've got a whole recipe/tea blend for sleep!! It's a bit on the floral side tho ^u^;
It's 1 part lavender, 1 part chamomile, 1 part rose petals (optional), and 1/2 to 2 parts mugwort - depending on how strong your mugwort is! I've ordered 2 brands of mugwort and one was super strong.. while the other one seemed normal ??

Also, one time I took 2 doses of CBD before bed ('cause pain) and.. passed out before taking my meds pfff

tbh i learned abt it bc i'm on low dose hrt and it can be used to boost testosterone lol but i honestly only take it for mood/mental health
it's good for increased energy but a side effect is increased libido hahaha
which is not a problem for me bc v low
but one of my friends who has a high libido tried it for anxiety and she said it helped but made her too horny lol
so just fyi if it's relevant

@xvz: I'll definitely buy some (powder form, probs, bc I don't mind bitter) -
I'm hoping I can start HRT in November, and ashwagandha could definitely help !! :D
