oh cool! i didn't now that ^^ i was supposed to travel to amsterdam this year in late march
it was right at the brink of covid hitting so we were like should we cancel? and the closer it got to the trip we were like .... we should cancel ...

yeah it was definitely for the best! the situation hadn't "broke" yet til what would have been halfway into the trip - so it didn't seem awful at the start but by the end it would have been pretty chaotic/stressful and there would have been a chance we would be stuck there / not able to return to the states :0

i hope so, but who knows when that'll be

And yeah chances are you couldve gotten stuck, i know some dutch people got stuck abroad at some point as well
Also at first people were pretty relaxed and at some point they realized, oh maybe it is the real deal and things went a bit downhill from there on lol
and now they loosened up the rules and people are immediately like
long live freedom
and now the cases are going up again :')

yeah the situation escalated super quickly! so i'm glad we made the right call to not go
if/when this ever ends i def wanna travel as much as i can haha just bc who knows what else could happen so u gotta do stuff while you can

and yeah things have been very under control in my specific city (nyc) but the rest of the country has not been looking good ........

xan that's my dream as well!!! i just realized i have salsa in my fridge i haven't been using that's a great suggestion!!
what kinds of veggies have you grown before? ^^ i had some kitchen windowsill herbs for a while but they are p high maintenance and they all died after i went on a trip Lol

oh i see - and it looks like cases are starting to go up for you too so i totally understand how that would feel pretty stressful and frustrating :-(

the cases in nyc have been consistently low despite having mass protests for like a month and the city has been slowly opening up now, so i'm trying to tell myself it's ok to be more lenient about isolation as long as i'm being careful - i'm still home all the time lol but i've been thinking about trying to see friends more, one on one that is
(ofc i know the situation is different everywhere!)
