My current strategy:
After hitting the submit post button, I just go do something else because I know it will be awhile

And if I check back and it's still loading... I just check back later again
The event is bogging down the server with all the people posting at once lol

I remember that Roliana had a big lag monster once during an event. Then the monster started eating posts, and caused a lot of problems.
