Aww thanks. Sorry for the late reply but between going to bed last night and no internet this morning... just ugh.
Solia Online and the forum died in part because they moved to more of a farming/3D/pokemon style game as a part of it so those that were still left didn’t really bother with the forums.

Yea dv is pretty big. I usually just pick threads at random to start chatting in and then stay if I like them.

ahh i've been there w the no internet, i've had two outages this year, always such a pain i hope it got resolved! <3

i see - i think it's interesting to see like how dynamics change based on site features :0 like for example i think abt how pinging here vs. subscribing to threads changes the way ppl interact and chat!!

i think for me i'm like, i already know i like the ppl on voltra so i'd rather chat here than there >w>
but i think also bc the game aspect of it doesn't appeal to me as much

Yea that’s true! I actually kind of hate the notifications for every thread I subscribe to I have a bad habit of needing to check every notification and with some of the threads being fast moving thats... annoying.

Yea that’s totally fair! ‘Where the people are’ is very very important. The main reason I even ended up over here after being on dv is because there are other users that I ran into on dv that I knew them from solia years and years ago that were also already over here so I’m followin’ them around.

Yea... it’s not the best setup. I think there are already suggestion threads in for them to fix it I just don’t know how high up on their priority list it is.

But it’s better than not having subscribed/bookmarked threads at all.

Unfortunately no, pings get you less notifications lol. Because the thread subscriptions notify you for every single single new post on the thread vs pings would just be the one post where someone is actually talking to you.

it doesn't seem as relevant rn during the event threads cuz this is p fast for voltra lol

but sometimes it's awk in hangout / group threads cuz ppl are two pinging each other and then it sometimes feels like interrupting their convo

Ah I totally understand what you’re saying now, @xvz ! Yea that makes sense I can see that.
I guess I should say the full notifications thing is only really annoying because they don’t let you pick to have threads on your ‘bookmarked’ list that don’t ping you. If I could pick which threads pinged me from the bookmark list that would be way way better.
