- I probably spend more time going through recipes to find an actually simple recipe for some simple dish because all the blogs want to add complicated crap like cashews in blenders and maple syrup and whatnot god why is this so hard
Forums Camp Breaker 2020 Team Sound Cabin
- I swear at this point I'm gonna start my own vegan cooking show just for the people that don't care about this pretentious crap I'm getting really sick of this I just want some gotdang butter cookies for crying out loud
The recipe I found was for a gingerbread spritz cookie, I think about the oddest thing that called for was a tiny pinch of white pepper.
- I managed to find four recipes in total using separate searches and all of them have pretentious garbage
- Okay three, one of them just has corn flour, but the other ones:
- Flax egg
- Aquafaba
And the holy grail of all of them is a 4-ingredient recipe and three of the ingredients include ground flax seed, coconut sugar, and "natural cashew butter" whatever that means
These blogs are the reason people think being vegan is insanely unreachable
- See, that's my point! Who the hell is going to do that, most people have no idea what the hell it is
- People will probably do research into what they can make before trying to go vegan, then get turned off to the idea because there's a 50-step process and expensive and stupid ingredients in all of these
And I can't imagine too many people would actually have flax seed in their kitchen. Isn't that mainly considered a kind of health food?

vegan is such a white bougie thing lmao it needs to be accessible to the masses
- There's all these recipes out here for cashew-based creamy things whilst I'm sitting here making the same things by whipping flour in a pot with soy milk, the most ridiculous ingredient I use is nutritional yeast but that's it and one cheap bag has lasted me over a year
- It doesn't need to be!! I've been vegan for over a year and I'm the laziest sack of shit this side of the mississippi river
My go-to dinner recipe is literally beans, random pasta, and spices boiled in a pot with a can of tomato sauce
- People end up thinking it's so expensive because of these exact reasons which is why people think "I can't afford this" and I'm here eating what I have cutely named "pasta abomination" that probably costs no more than 4$ for something that I'll have leftovers to eat for lunch the next day
I had some rice with just a bit of sweet chili sauce for supper the other night and it was good. Nothing wrong with rice.
- Dude I eat rice all the time, favourite thing to do is get a bag of frozen stirfry veggies and toss in whatever else I want in it and I have a great dinner
