I'll stick it under a spoiler - tl:dr; ex-friend sent me a friend request on Discord and I feel bad because of what that friend group did to me
An ex-friend from an ex-friend group added me on Discord, I removed the request because I assumed the worst - so I go poking around their social media, and they apparently miss their old friends (I'm assuming that means me?) and I'm feeling very conflicted because I did kind of just...drop off the face of the earth to them, but also... that group stressed me so bad that it triggered a split (can explain that if need be, it's related to dissociative identity disorder). I know my personal comfort's important, but I feel like I messed up by removing that friend request somehow ???

aw i see :-( idk what happened but you can always send them a friend request if you feel ready again in the future, and it seems like there’s no pressure to be friends again right now if you don’t feel ready to

I guess I'm just conflicted because I feel guilty - I feel like I should reconnect with this person, but at the same time I don't want to. The only reason I feel like I should is because they were the one to send the friend request, meaning they wanted to reconnect, but after all that ex-friend group did, I don't know if I could handle it... I mean, I couldn't last time and someone had to step in my place for me.

Yeah, it was stressing me out in a bad way - after talking to my best friend about it I realized that I didn't have the time/energy/mental capacity to talk to them again ;v; I do hope they're doing alright, but I think talking to them again would just dredge up the awful things that happened to me then ;;v;;
