Back when I was living in town, they did that a lot. We couldn't put the trash out until the morning or they would kick it over.
It's either a herd of deer or the bear doing it. Normally whatever it is only attacks my cousins' trashcan, but it finally knocked over ours instead.

@Tuijp: I am so sorry to hear that. And that is rough a family memeber of mine had lung cancer, they never smoked but still got lung cancer it was probably all of the 2nd hand smoke from another family member.

@Unicorn: Whatever knocked it over was long gone, since it happened sometime last night. But she still barked at the nothing.
@Unicorn: you can get it from all sorts of things. A lot of chemical they used to have can also cause it.
