the asian grocery in my neighborhood finally opened back up recently :0
excited to go sometime soon lol
it's p small but i'm grateful we have it at all , esp to have it within walking distance :3

Chicagoland, especially near me, is really heavily Asian. We have lots of great Asian stores!

in nyc am super blessed to have multiple asian communities n chinatowns - there's a manhattan chinatown , manhattan koreatown , brooklyn chinatown , queens has flushing , etc
idk if i should be taking public transit yet tho so most of it's not that accessible for now :<

Chicagoland is the area around Chicago. All the immediate suburbs.
I’ve never hear anyone who lives here say “chi”. I don’t know where is came from, but I see it online all the time now.
We just have the 1 Chinatown, but many of the suburbs are very Asian. And in general it’s a popular food/drink option all over here so we have restaurants everywhere!

I love that it’s so multicultural here!
I don’t think that’s necessarily a historical trait of Chicago; I think it started out very white European. But I’m glad it’s so open now! It’s wonderful to have so much of other cultures around everywhere!
