"I refuse to let Encrae have her way with our daughter!"

Robyn made her way down the lab before making her way in. The doors may have been locked, but she was one fo the resident alchemists there, and this really was her domain.

"Hey Ilias!" She called, wondering where he was for the moment, as she didn't see him quickly

She was standing right next to an intercom system, and she heard it buzz. But before she could answer it, she heard Ilias call out.

"DON'T!" he yelled.

"The system's on the fritz! Don't touch!" he yelled further.

She then started walking towards him, and he sighed when she was close enough.

"Dunno if it's coincidence or part of the attack." he muttered.

"Seems you're doing well, considering." he then commented.

"Yeah, I'm doing all right." Robyn told him honestly.

"Thank you for the heads up about the intercom, by the way. I'd rather not be shocked." She added with a light chuckle.

"Anyway, I came to help." She told him. "Just... keep in mind that lifting above my head really isn't too easy at the moment. My shoulders still in rough shape."

"That's fine." Ilias responded.

He then led her to the lab he'd been using, and ushered her over to the table that had the notes that Angela had given him. She then noticed he'd been piecing it all together on one of the whiteboards.

"This is amazing stuff." he said.

"These equations are brilliant, but I need YOUR help to completely bridge them together into a fully working solution." he told her.

"If you can help me do that, then we can save those whose souls are separated from their bodies."

Robyn paused.

"I can try. I'm not as brilliant when it comes to alchemy as Reveka is." She told him simply.

She stepped into the entryway and looked around before spotting the door to the building proper. She stepped up and tried it, finding it locked.

"Ah, right. I was told it would be." She said quietly, her voice sounding a little odd, before checking to see where the lock was.

As she was looking for the lock, she heard a voice.

"We're closed." it said.

The one that had spoked it looked alarmed that she had gotten this far already, seeing as the lockdown barrier extended to the property, and would cause anyone with the slightest bit of mana to suddenly decide to turn back and 'remember' something they had 'forgotten'.

So he was on the defensive, to put it lightly.

"Come back later." he told her.

"...who ARE you, anyway?" he then asked.

She paused before looking over to him. She was silent for longer than was probably comfortable before finally speaking.

"Ah. You are Jacod Pafford, the resident ramaarin." Her voice was odd, but she had all the information apparently.

"I am called Chloe." She added in response to his inquiry.

"And I will not return later. I have something I need to do here." everything she said was so ... matter-of-factly said, it was weird.

"How do you know who I am?" he asked.

"And WHAT I am?" he asked further.

"And how did you get this far?" he then asked her, his tongue darting out, and what he found startled him.

Chloe had NO mana.

Chloe was silent for a moment, acquiring a bit of a puzzled posture and expression. However, her eyes looked almost dead, completely emotionless.

"I know what and who you are because of my creators." She stated.

"I was outfitted with all the information of this location, and those that would be found within at any given time."

"Your creators." he said.

"Who are they?" he asked.

"And what do you mean 'created'?" he asked her.

Chleo paused a moment.

"What am I?" She asked. when he annoyed, seeming annoyed, she gave him the answer.

"I am a nothing more than a walking talking resource to be accessed at any point by anyone with the proper credentials."She answered.

"The hell does that mean?" Jake asked, which resulted in quite a tehcnical answer.

"I ... am reasonably certain that what I just said have gone over your head, however." She finished with.

"Wait. Hold on." he said.

"I understood a few of those words. And some key ones, I believe." he continued.

"...you are... a... well... I can't believe it." he muttered.

"Now... WHO made you?" he asked her.

"Who could have created something like yourself?"

Chloe paused a moment, debating how to answer that.

"You do not believe you know someone who could do something of the sort?" She asked, her voice inquisitive.

"I am relatively certain you should know." She added. "However, I have been coded to not say anything outright and directly. So please forgive me for that."

Jake narrowed his eyes a bit.

"...I see." he said.

"Whether or not I trust you will now depend on my next question." he told her.

"I have my suspicions, but it's high time that you prove something to me. And if who I suspect made you, actually made you, then you'll know the answer I'm looking for." he reasoned.

He then paused, took a small breath, and exhaled it. He looked right at her, unblinking.

"What do your eyes see?" he asked.

"They see the code." Chloe responded quickly.

Jake just sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose again.

"Of course it's Lunet." he muttered. "Why am I not surprised?" he asked rhetorically. He then pressed the button to buzz her in.

"Just go on in." he told her. "I get the feeling I wouldn't be able to stop you if I didn't let you in anyway." he added in a minorly defeated tone, making a note to inquire about this with Lunet later.

"I have been programmed to be able to do anything within these walls as need be, so of course you would not be able to stop me." Chloe responded plainly as she made her way into the building proper.

"Thank you for the entry." She then said before pausing.

"And please do not be too angry with Ms. Sharp. She means well." With that, she headed off, intending to head up to Hal's office.

Jake just watched her go, and groaned.

"Well, one MORE thing to compound upon what's happening." he said.

"If this helps, then good. It'd better." he muttered. "Otherwise Hal is NOT going to be happy." he added.

Chloe seemed to know the quickest and most direct way to Hal's office... and she took it. She was there in a matter of minutes, and went to the door, knocking on it.

"...enter." Hal responded, which she did.

When Hal saw her, he looked confused and a bit irritated. But mostly confused.

"Can... I help you...?" he asked, wondering who she was.

"Not at all." Chloe answered as she closed the door behind her.

"I go by Chloe, and I am here to help you." She stated simply.

"However, I do believe that I may be needed for more than a mere security issue... there seems to be far more than just that going on, if the electricity I feel walking through this building is anything to go by."

"You're here to help me?" he then asked her.

"Wait, security?" he then wondered aloud, before shaking his head.

"I am getting tired of vagueness." he told her pointedly.

"How about you give me some details, hm?" he asked.

"How are you going to help, and who are you to be able to help us?"

Chloe just smiled. Her face was a smile, but her eyes didn't seem to change. They were bland and emotionless. It wasn't hard to tell that this was a skill she hadn't quite learned, or so it seemed. Perhaps it was a case of her being there under false pretenses.

There really was no way to know for the moment.

"How? I go by Chloe." She told him honestly.

"Calibrated Hotspot 1.0 Eternal." She clarified. "Merely simplified to Chloe." As she spoke, she approached the security panel on the wall by the door she'd come in.

"May I?" She asked, motioning to it.
