"That's just because I am." Nate responded. "We're all getting stressed here in the medical wing." he said.

"And Alicja's in the break room." he told them.

"...the one that DIDN'T have the incident." he muttered.

"Right." Ilias responded.

"Well, if all goes well, we have a solution to all this." he told Nate, which caused him to perk up immediately.

"Really???" he asked.

Robyn just chuckled lightly.

"Yeah. We've something to test. If it works, then those with the soul disconnect can be helped." She told Nate honestly.

"Hey, I'll stay here with Nate. Ilias? Why don't you go find Alicja."

"All right." he said, before heading off.

As he did, Nate almost collapsed at the desk.

"Thank... heavens..." he said.

"Everything is falling apart here." he told her.

"Any good news would be... I mean... just..." he stammered, shaking his head.

"A godsend, frankly."

When Ilias reached the room, he found Alicja sitting at the table, her head on her arms, looking to be asleep for the moment. When she heard his footsteps though, she looked over.

"Oh, hey Ilias." She greeted with a wave. She looked exhausted, though.

"What's up?" She asked

Ilias sighed quietly.

"Hey." he said.

"Quiiiiiick question." he muttered.

"I have a serum that... well... should reverse the effects of the soul separation." he told her. "But... we need someone to test it on." he said further.

"You're capable of giving consent, want to be the guinea pig?" he asked her.

"You CAN say no, but you were the first that came to mind."

Alicja was silent for a moment before getting to her feet.

"Lab or here in the medwing?" She asked, her voice inquisitive.

"Here would be best." Ilias answered. "We're not entirely sure what the side effects are possible."[b] Alicja just nodded.

[b]"All right. Come on then." She said before leaving the break room and heading off to one of the more private beds, she expected he was following her.

As she reached there, she sat down on the bed. When Ilias entered the are as well, she just met his gaze.

"what's needed?" She asked.

Ilias just shrugged.

"Nothing." he said.

"Just... expect discomfort and discombobulation." he told her.

"Apparently this should essentially be a miracle cure, stitching souls back to bodies seamlessly." he went on.

"So just lay down, get comfortable, and... we'll go." he said.

Once she did, and gave the okay, he filled a needle with the right amount for her, made sure it was set to go, found a vein in her arm, and injected the serum.

'And now... we hope.' he thought.

Alicja did as she was told, before just waiting. They weren't waiting for long though before she winced, and then let out a cry of pain. It was short, but it had an echo to it that he'd only ever heard from Erica when her curse was getting to be stronger, eroding at her emoitions and mind.

Alicja rolled onto her side, obviously in pain as she curled up. Then again, it wasn't something that was hard to believe, chances are reattaching a soul was a very unpleasant experience. However, she'd made sure she was hooked up to the tech in there to monitor her vitals, and they were normal for someone in pain. No changes that were too extreme or unnatural. For whatever that was worth.

Ilias continued to observe her, and watched as she seemed to pass out from the pain after about 7 minutes. He checked the machines and saw that her vitals were still the same, and sighed.

"All right." he said.

"Good." he muttered.

"Now... to wait." he went on, as Nate and Robyn stepped into the room.

"Is everything ok!?" Nate exclaimed.

"So far." Ilias replied.

"When she wakes up... she should have Ebony back." he told them.

Robyn was silent before looking to Alicja on the bed.

"She still looks to be in pain." She commented.

"... I can't say I'm surprised." She added. "I doubt a soul reattachment is pleasant. Especially for one thathas more souls within than one naturally should."

"Anyway, At least she should be back to normal after this."

"Okay." he said.

"Good." he mumbled. "Good..." he repeated.

"We'll see how long it takes for her to wake up." Ilias then commented.

"Once we see how she is, we'll proceed with the others if it is prudent." he reasoned.

"...thank you both so much." Nate said quietly.

"If this works, it's better to thank our help, Chloe." She said.

"Ilias and I were stuck... and there was nothing we could figure out. Nothing we tried, worked... then she comes by and just... boom. Done."

"Long story." Ilias muttered.

"It's better for you to meet Chloe, yourself." he told him.

"...ah. Well... fair enough, then, I guess." Nate responded.

"I'm going to tell Dr Edwards..." he then started to say, before pausing.

"No. I'm going to wait." he said.

"I am going to come to her with DEFINITE good news."

"Anyhow, I'm going to go back down to the lab, make sure Chloe's all right, and clean up any possible messes." She added.

"I shouldn't." Ilias responded. "I'm going to remain here and monitor Alicja." he told her.

Nate just shook his head.

"I'm good." he said.

"...and thanks." he then mumbled. "I needed that." he told her.

"Hm?" Ilias mumbled.

"Miss Robyn helped me calm down a little and destress." Nate responded. "She's good at that." he went on.

"She really can be." Ilias agreed.

Sometime later, Alicja stirred before pushing herself to a sitting position.

".... Yo, Ilias, if you're still around, grab me something for this brutal headache, will ya?" She asked, not looking around to see who was there.

"Because ow."

Not 3 seconds later, she received a response.

"Already thought of that." Ilias said from off to the side.

"While you were out, I asked Nate to bring a few common medications for small medical problems... like a headache, nausea, that sort of thing." he informed her, before grabbing a bottle of water and a tiny plastic pill cup with a couple of tablets in it.

"Here." he said, handing them to her.

"So... a headache, you say?" he asked.

"Is there anything else of note that you're feeling and/or experiencing?" he asked her further.

"A headache is an understatement. I feel liky me head is going to split in two." She said before downing what she gave him.

"thanks, by the way." She added.

"Also, Yes. I can confirm it works. Ebony's rather twitchy, as usual." She then said

"Excellent." Ilias responded.

"That is excellent news." he told her.

"That means that we should be ready to use this on the other victims of this." he went on.

He paused for a moment, before standing up.

"Nate has been quite worried about you." he told her.

"I'm going to inform him that you are awake and reasonably all right. Do you not want visitors, or feel you could tolerate one, as long as it's him?" he chuckled.

"Because regardless, I am going to report to Angela about this." he added.

"He's probably hovering outside there, anyway. So just send him in." She added with a chuckle.

"Because... he'd end up in here anyway. I swear, he's addicted to my ass."
