I am playing on the basic one myself, so that's why I am letting her play mine. She can get experience with the game and can gather materials when I am not.
There are areas in the game that other players can kill you and take your loot (everything in your inventory), but there are also safe zones as well. The higher tier materials in the dangerous zones. There are banks where you can store your stuff to keep it safe as well.
There's also referral bonues, so if you are thinking of signing up, let me know. ^_^
