@GoblinsAndTea: that's great though. :D
Facial hair doesn't look great on my hubby. He just looks like a chubby werewolf that lost some hair when he doesn't have xD
@0v7: you're fine ^^ I honestly didn't know much about it until coco. Like I knew it's day of the dead and a celebration of ancestors but I didn't know many of the actual traditions.

@Shadami: I'm glad Coco spread some awareness of it! Before it came out, we had The Book of Life and that was it pretty much. Before that... I dunno, I can't think of popular movies that touch that subject :(
You want everything live, you want things you can touch."
I loved both of those movies, and they definitely taught me something. My fiance is Mexican, but I don't think his family really observes the holiday.

It's nothing like Halloween, it's just seen as Mexican Halloween because it's right after Halloween and has skulls...? I think? I dunno, I don't see the resemblance.

I love learning about different holidays and ceremonies. I haven't taken part in many though.
Goodbye, Voltra.

I wonder how similar it is to Dia de Muertos.
You want everything live, you want things you can touch."
From Wikipedia:
"In contemporary South Korea, on Chuseok, masses of people travel from large cities to their hometowns to pay respect to the spirits of their ancestors.[7] Chuseok celebrates the bountiful harvest and strives for the next year to be better than the last. People perform ancestral worship rituals early in the morning. Then, they visit the tombs of their immediate ancestors to trim plants and clean the area around the tomb and offer food, drink, and crops to their ancestors."

That's...REALLY similar to Dia de Muertos. I offer pan de muertos and food my lost ones liked every year, as well as drinks they liked...

What do you have available?
You want everything live, you want things you can touch."
You know, I feel like we don't really have a holiday like that in the US. My family would do those things on Memorial Day, but technically I think that day's supposed to be for relatives who were in the military. We always just used that day to place flowers on all of our close relatives' graves then though
