"Died and got better, huh?" he asked.

"That's MY shtick." he told her with a small laugh.

"...and I'm fine." he said.

"Or... I will be once this fully processes up here." he muttered, gesturing to his head.

"My death was... well, inevitable." Hazel said as she slid into the seat next to him.

"That coma was ... a lot." she then said. "It was a trip to another world, in essence, and I was told that upon waking it would result in my brain breaking."

"And I really didn't want to go through that. I'd rather die than be a broken woman again." She admittedly quietly.

"So I was given an offer, a chance, to not be broken again... but it required my dying."

"Not sure WHY, though..." he then mumbled.

"If you had survived and been 'broken' again, odds are that would have hit even harder." he guessed quietly.

"I wouldn't doubt it." Hazel said with a light sigh.

"I really don't." she repeated with a sogh before getting to her feet. She hesitated for barely even a second before closing the distance and just wreapping her arms around him, holding him close.

"I'm so sorry Tyson.... I just... I'm so srry." She said, sounding near tears. It hadn't been easy to leave him after promising she wouldn't, even though it hadn't happened... yet.

Tyson seemed to be genuinely surprised by the hug, but returned it quickly.

"Hey... it's all right..." he said.

"It's cool. I'm all right." he assured her.

"A lot better now that I know you're not really gone." he went on.

"I..." She started before suppressing a light cry.

"I... just..." She was sounding more what he'd grown to know.

"... I never meant to leave you." she then said quietly, her voice laden with guilt.

"I... I know." he said.

"It couldn't be helped." he told her.

"I'm sorry... I know, you're confused. Let's just... say that I .... I've seen more than I care to admit, and it really showed just how important I am to you." hazel said.

"Just... I'm sorry. I never knew, and never meant to tear you apart like that." She added before shaking her head.

"Anyway... I ... should go check in with Zeke. he's probably way too confused for words at the moment. I just wanted to make sure you were all right." She said before just leaning over and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, something she'd never done as far as he kne, in the past.

"If you need me, you know where I live. Assuming the place hasn't fallen into disrepair." She then paused.

"Oh .... Oh no... has anyone been taking care of my snakes?"

Ty was definitely caught off guard by the kiss, before clearing his throat a little at her questions.

"Yes." he said.

"Ilias has been." he told her.

"And when he's been unable to, he gave ME directions and stuff so I could do it." he went on.

"I was the last one to be there, yesterday, and they were just fine."

Hazel just let out a breath of relief.

"thank you so much." she said. "And... I'll go thank Ilias myself, as well." she added.

"Anyway, I need to go talk to Zeke." Was the last thing she said before heading off, intending to head back up to the roof to find Zeke. Granted, she had no idea if he was still up there, but it was at least a guess for a start.

Ty waved as she left, stunned for a moment, lightly touching where she'd kissed him.

"...whatever she went through, must've been a doozy." he mumbled.

Sure enough, when Hazel returned, she saw that Zeke was there... but it looked like he'd just returned.

Meaning he had done his job of distracting Kiah for as long as he could.

He was now peering over the roof, looking down at everyone and everything.

"I really do appreciate it. I ... had to destroy some of her research." She added. "And I was right... it was at Kiah's." She added.

"Anyway, I promised that we can chat, and I'd fill you on." She added.

"If you have any questions, just ask. I'll answer anything, since I'm pretty sure I can't hide it from you anyway."

"So... I have time to talk.. and I really do want to. Teh world I was in... Zeke, you were gone, most people were. All that was left here was Hal, the zombies, Ty and Lunet."

Hazel paused.

"Oh! That!" She exclaimed before smirking lightly and vanishing from where she was, leaving some sand behind that was gone before it hit the roof. She appeared behind him.

"Because it turns out I'm about as eternal as Ty is, to an extent." She then said.

"And I have active, controlable, mana now. Kinda. I haven't tried much of anything with what I had before, just some glass walls, but.... I can at least not need to rely on people for a lift anymore."
