ohh hachi actually same ... i don't hold anything against ppl but idk if there's stuff that matters to ppl that i'm not aware of???

i used to be really bad at replying to messages, i think partly bc i don't like being on my phone and also partly depression lol - and i found out years later that ppl were like really salty abt it
so now i really do make an effort if i know it matters to someone

i think w the friends msging first thing tho ... i think it's easy for ppl to think that they do all the reaching out but then maybe like cognitive bias don't realize they've been reached out to? >_> kind of like how drivers are like i'm a great driver and everyone else is bad >_>
or idk, i try not to think of my friendships in a keeping score way ... like if i'm reaching out to a friend more then it's more likely they'll msg me in the future

(just speaking generally though cuz i know that's not always the case......... i do have friends who will radio silence on me for months but it's usually cuz they're .... having a really hard time)

Most of my really good friends have dealt with some kind of mental illness or disorder (either themselves or a family member) so they understand that it's hard for some people to keep social and usually don't hold it against anyone when they dip out on events and stuff. We just kind of have that understanding that sometimes it's just not a very good time.
