I have NO idea how to use this program lol
I've been using Krita for years...
For those of you who use CSP Pro- got any tips?? Especially if you've used Krita too - the tool shortcut differences are wild.

@0v7: I use CSP regularly (EX, not Pro, but the tools are basically the same, afaik), so if you have any questions I can definitely help!
A few keyboard shortcuts I find useful though...

Shift will let you draw a straight line.
Ctrl+Click on the layer thumbnail will select everything in that layer. Like all the marks made.
Delete clears the entire layer
And you can customise most of the commands if you'd like!
File > Shortcut Settings

Im not sure for krita as i don't
use it much
but undo is ctrl+Z
Ctrl+C=Copy
Ctrl+V=Paste
Ctrl+T=Transform
Ctrl+Shift+T=Free transform
B is for brush
and I is eyedropper i believe.
and Ctrl+U is the hue changer.

If you have any questions feel free to ask as I used it on a daily basis.

@Amber Lynne: Ctrl+Click is gonna be really useful for me :D Thanks for the tip :3 I went through and changed my most common brush settings to mimic Krita's... still missing some, I'm sure but it's a start.

@MoodyB: Thank you :D CTRL+U is definitely new to me :0

@0v7: Normally i use it cause my colors are always off. :vanora_sweat:
Under the layer tab also there is a bunch of color layer adjustments which are fun to play with.
I recently just started playing with layer adjustments which really helps.

Oh, also, if you'd like. I could stream at some point and you can ask specific questions or something.
Or just ask me whatever, whenever. I've been using the program for years.
OH
and USE A VECTOR LAYER!
omfg they save every piece of sanity because of how the eraser works on them for linework.
(Vector layer is the button next to new layer.)

@MoodyB: Funny that you mention that - I'm having trouble figuring out how to get Voltra's gradients into CSP... I don't think there is a way, so I might have to use Krita if I'm to make items in the future >w>; I like the layer adjustments so far! I wanna play around with them more honestly :3

@Amber Lynne: I changed my eyedropper to control, my pen + eraser shortcuts are both B since in Krita you can swap between them using a single button - and so many other things, like space or middle mouse button = drag canvas, H to flip canvas, etc etc

@0v7: Sadly i don't know anything about gradients besides
in Photoshop as i use to work for avatar sites
coloring items from grayscale to color. :vanora_sweat:

I pretty much just know basic things with CSP.
but hope you are able to have a lot of fun with it as it's such a good program.

@MoodyB: I'd make mirrors of the Voltra gradients myself but there's so many.... @_@
The lines are so smooth in CSP and I'm like :0!!! Krita has good lines but they aren't like, quick enough to be intuitive to draw if that makes sense? With CSP it's like BAM you got a line, you got another line, etc etc

@0v7: for me i don't notice line work because
i constantly have to use stabilizers built into programs as my tablet only has about 2k levels pen pressure.
Tho CSP for linework works better for the type of art I like to do as my art is 99% linework.
tho i have to set my stabilizers per tool at 12-15 lol.

@0v7: The Voltra gradients ARE doable in CSP!
Just sayin'
I've done it~<3
Lemme see if I can remember HOW, though, lol

Also, I 100000000% recommend cranking the pen stabiliser to max though for the smoothest/best lines~

@MoodyB: Mine are set at like 6 - mostly because my art style and super smooth lines don't look good together lol >w>
Maybe I should try max stabilizers for lineart only stuff :0 I've just been doodling to figure out what shortcuts I need to switch so I can move from Krita to CSP as smoothly as possible.

@Amber Lynne: If you remember how lmk!! My only idea is to make each one by hand... >w>;;

@0v7: mine have to be set high as i cant paint so when i draw it feels unnatural unless i bump it up to 14.
eventually i plan to update my tablet.

Edit
Tonal Correction
Gradient Map
Click the wrench
Import Gradient
has to be a cgs
I can send in a PM if you need.
(My clip keeps crashing when I try to add it though, which is odd...)

@Amber Lynne: Yeah, I don't have the .CGS version of the Voltra Gradients - which is weird, because I thought it'd be in resources?? I'd love the CGS file if you have it :0

@MoodyB: My style thankfully looks good messy >w> I could get away with no stabilizer but that's more work honestly :'3
