I don't have a full version of sai either. But it's still the best. I just import to photoshop sometimes for a few things.

I have this problem with sai that when I have a .psd file open I can't save other .sai files. Does that happen to you?
And yeah SAI 2 has gradients and I heard a ruler and shapes. I could definitely use the text and ruler features. I always think the lines I draw are crooked haha.
