I had a problem connecting to the internet - was connected to the network yet had no IP address (weird) therefore no internet. I go through like, 4 different settings pages thinking I had something leftover in there from attempt to set a static IP address for my desktop and found nothing. I released / renewed my IP address.. nothing. The solution was very simple, and I feel VERY silly for not thinking of it - rebooting the router that handles wifi connections... you know, the first thing a reasonable person would do.
