@Aisukohi: So far I can still taste. My birthday was yesterday and I have been so excited about getting a banana cream pie from this place I haven't been to in ten years for my "cake." So I was too sick last night and ended up passing out as soon as the pie got here, had a dream that I had lost my smell and taste, then woke up and immediately had some so I could taste SOME of it. Lol.
But I just went and told my boyfriend that it's getting worse, and to prove it I sniffed this horrible Resident Evil candle he has that's like rotting flesh. I couldn't smell it at all so I asked him if he was sure it was the right candle, so he smelt it and his face squished up in an nauseous sort of way. Sooooo, it's definitely fading.

I'm glad you were able to taste at least some of the pie! That sucks about your loss of smell, but at least you were saved from the stinky candle. XD That candle sounds so bizarre btw.

Going on a month this week, but the symptoms are much more mild now.
At first it was extreme temperatures, nausea, and splitting migraines that kept me in bed for several days.
Then taste and smell were completely gone for about 8 or 9 days.
And now it's just the feeling like there's a wad of saliva stuck in the back of my throat and no matter how much I cough the feeling never goes away.
But, on the plus side, I had been having migraines that felt almost as bad as the COVID ones at least once a week for almost a year and I haven't had a single one since I lost my taste.

Which I can't understand at all. Those are people that have their own lives and ambitions.
They're leaving behind others that love and miss them.

And she's been close to people that have died since we were in elementary school.
I just don't understand what she can't grasp about it.
