I use community lessons on Memrise. It's a little bit of a pain to get the community lessons on your phone, you have to go through the desktop site and look through there and add some to your account, but it's better than 60$ for their normal lessons

I bought a book for learning Japanese. I need to start reading it again :3
Japanese is a language I'm interested in, but the thought of trying to learn Japanese scares me

When I think of learning Japanese I feel overwhelmed
Like I think the grammar is pretty similar to Korean, but the kanji, the pitch accent...
I used Duolingo a bit when I was thinking about learning Spanish. I never used it for Korean though because apparently the Korean course isn't as good. I used LingoDeer instead, back when it was free. And for Russian I've just skipped apps (aside from Anki) and started off using a PDF of a book called The New Penguin Russian Course instead

@Evilcupcakecat: I used to use Duolingo, now the bird just harasses me every once in a while lol. I like the way memrise works more than the way Duolingo works

Well, in a few years, I might think about learning Japanese. For now I'm content with improving my Korean and learning Russian. I'm only about a month into learning Russian, so it really isn't the time to start another language
