Voltie — Burnt Posted 7 years ago ( 2017/11/3 02:17:49 )
That was yesterday and today. Yesterday was more doing errands for myself and today was buying and treating myself to stuff because i don't do it enough.
Anyways I got a massage, bought lunch for fiance and i. Took advantage of 50% Halloween decor. Bought some new clothes
And now I'm home :D

Got to love these days. How about you?

personal days are the best.
I love them.
I plan to do it often when I do get a job because sometimes you just need a pick me up.
If I had a personal day, I would take myself out to eat, and go shopping.

@Burntcicle: By time i get a job i am sure it'll be a personal day that is long overdue for me.
Like most of the time i never get to buy what i want because my relatives or dad
kinda has me buy things i don't even want and i just cave and say 'it's better than nothing.'
so when I do finally get to buy what i want, that will be SUCH a relief.

I don't get to take many personal days due to my line of work, but they are awesome when I can take them.
My field should offer more personal days because people get super burnt out very fast.

@burntcicle: I work with adults with disabilities as a direct care staff/ support professional. I now work day program, but when I was working residential there were times that you could be stuck on several shifts in a row, with no break.

@burntcicle: Thank you, I love the job, been doing it for almost two years now, it can just be emotionally draining.

@GuttedBunny: you shall be square then. :bernard_happy:

@Lithium: No problem. But i guess you find ways to help cope with the emotional draining aspects.
