@Totalanimefan: Yes, we have deer in the neighborhood. They come through fairly often and eat the leaves off my sweet potatoes (like apparently they did last night - there's nothing but little stubs where there used to be leaves! LOL!). I'm not growing anything else out there at the moment, unless you count really leggy and scraggly rosemary! XD
I think it's 90 days. I'm not sure about letting them "dry" after harvesting though. That sounds a little weird to me, tbh.

Yes, growing food in Florida is tough just because of the sand. Well, and the unrelenting heat and sun for a good part of the year. We tried growing several things over the years but have only really had any luck growing sweet potatoes and hot peppers.
Earlier today I noticed that we were getting close to another milestone - that's awesome! I wonder what they have in store for us when we get there
Oh I don't remember everything we've tried. I know we tried growing cucumbers at one point. Lettuce, spinach, beans... and yes, if the heat and sun and dry conditions didn't kill everything, other things did - too much rain at once, birds, insects, etc. It's really hard to grow things here!! (except for citrus, hot peppers, and cotton - lol!)

Ok, I'm going to grab a sweatshirt (now that the sun is setting) and try to get the dogs out to do their evening business. I have wussy dogs who don't like the dark...

Yes, we were talking about the overall posting and member goals. The next recolor for the event item should be coming if we get another 7 and 1/2 pages filled up (right? my math isn't stupidly wrong tonight?)

Yes, this thread was absolutely flying by for the first day or so of the event. The last several days though? Not so much.
