Skyforge just hit the Switch last week, but was on Steam since 2015, I think.

Am I the only one playing? Or is anyone else? I just started it up now, but I'm wondering if anyone else plays. And if someone else DOES, if anyone has any tips for a newbie? =D

It was long time ago, I don't remember why I lost interest for this game. Looks like I was stuck with upgrading the character or couldn't complete one of the quests... I think after so many years they may have changed many things, so it may be worth trying it out again... 8D

@amber lynne: Me either, I don't care how old is the game, but I've played many mmos and I have a specific opinion about them. That's why I'm curious. I'm so glad that it's still popular and gets updates. Huge bunch of online games currently are dead or became p2w, so there are little ammount of valuable mmos around in our time. 8D

@amber lynne: As an experienced lonely mmo player, I'd say that it much more matters what YOU particullarry feel about the game you play. If you enjoy it, it doesn't matter how many stamps and labels it gets. I've enjoyed many games, that weren't perfect at all, and still enjoying them. Because you know, there are so many people with their own opinions, but it really matters if you actually enjoying things no matter what others say. If Skyforge transforms into P2W and you'll still be playing it, nothing matters. Your game is your game. <3

Do you always play as long-ranged classes or do you prefer close-ranged ones? I've always really liked warrior type classes, but mages are more interesting imo.

Quick range, usually.
I mained a goblin 'lock when I was playing WoW, or a belf mage.
Demon Hunter or Wizard in Diablo3

... I like my range. XD

Low HP but huge damage, like, "maybe I can't kill you with my fist, but can do it with my brain" lol.

I played Skyforge like crazy for a few months some years ago. People made fun of me for playing it for whatever reason so I stopped. I also didn't really understand how to play and I kept screwing up serious players when I got paired with them in dungeons lol.

That's cool that it's still going and on Switch! If I had a Switch or a PC that could handle it I'd give it another go. I remember it being really fun!

But, from the little bit of digging I've done, the PS4 release was similar, before being fixed.

I used to play on the ps4! But i got bored with it/the people i woukd play within my guild stopped playing it.

The game doesn't really become too p2w..although sometimes it'll feel like that. It does however get kinda grindy/ start feeling like its impossible at times to get more powerful etc. It helps If you find players who are willing to team up with you etc to help you grind some of the mission things etc.

You definitely wanna focus on your Paladin and lightbringer classes, to me those are the most powerful when starting out..unless you invest or frind to get the in-game currency to buy the other "premium" classes then you wanna go with either outlaw, revenant, firestarter, grovewalker or soundweaver. Grovewalekr, soundweaver and revenant being the most popular with players because those classes are most powerful.
