I got a question for people out that. Do you have a character you created when you were learning how to draw or did you have an alter ego you always draw? I use to have an alter ego when i was in highschool i always drew but i don't feel like she is my alter ego any more.. Like it feels like i grew away from her. And i picked up some drawing classes (been ages since i drew) and been doing head shots (to get more practice i opened an art shop) but i feel like i need to either come up with a character or create an alter ego. I mean i would love to go on in the class. and technically the class is teaching us how to draw the artists character (her name is cherry) but i know he really is just teaching skills to draw your own but to be doing heads, facial , hair , fully body... I don't know feels like i should have a character or oc or mascot or alter ego to be drawing..

When i first started drawing i had an alter ego called J. Wolf. They where like me but cooler and went on crazy adventures lol.
With years i felt wierd drawing an alter ego i have no idea why tbh. But ive always had a "main" oc or a "sona".
For awhile it was an anthro dog called Oliver, then a human rockstar called Akira aand now its a demon goat called Francis. This character isnt anything like me but i just really like him lol.
On the other hand, ppl where calling me goblin and sometimes i "identify" as one. So i started drawing like my ADHD, authism, feral thoughts as a goblin. You know like its 3 in the morning and sudenly you wanna buy a necklace and you search the internet for the perfect one. I call that the goblin within me taking over to get a shiny

@Kittyzilla: i kind of digress of needing a mascot just for learning art. I agree about wanting to draw our fave chars from shows or our own made ocs but its not mandatory to have an alter ego char when youre grinding for art. that one is optional. And usually alter ego chars like that is created out of interest and means for fun.. not really because you need to when youre practising making arts.

its okay if you dont have an oc that you directly related as yourself. The people in the art class wont judge you or anything >u<

@GoblinsAndTea: I know the feeling. i do that alot with foxes..... Like i got a fox dress for my sisters wedding (my niece is wearing a unicorn dress and wearing unicorn horn cus she wants to be a unicorn at the wedding so i jokeingly said i want to be a fox she said go for it but other family freaked out on me so i went and got a dress with a fox on it and then i got a pretty fox ring and a pretty fox necklace)

@Kairu: ^^ very true maybe I'll just draw and see what comes to me cus i would like to have a character i can practice with

I didn't have a mascot until a few months ago when i began drawing emojis
for my twitch channel and they came out so cute.
I haven't named her yet though.

I've been drawing since maybe...2016-2017.
but at the time i just drew whatever and by 2018 i figured out fundamentals and figured out some of those.
But i just tried to draw whatever came to mind and what sounded cute.

I consider her my mascot/face of my art since she fits my art name as normally with my art...i do the complete
opposite of the aesthetic my art name gives off.
Tho i chose some factors similar to me. Such as she has red hair and even tho my hair is not naturally red
I actually dye my hair within red shades as it just looks best on me.

but i also had vague ideas of paintings and drawings of her which is how i decided she would be my mascot
instead of just making her a random OC as she kept popping up into my head for new ideas very often.

I haven't thoroughly figured her story out yet as im quite picky and change my mind very often.

@Nephila: naw i like what i saw on face book. It said ' winter weather is like when some one storms out in a fight but turns right around and comes back going ' and a nother thing' ... Like today high is 27 degreese and yet tuesday was in the 50s ... But if i get more of the center done ( thi k i might run out of black yarn) i will try this weekend to do some art. And i hope to get the center of the back done so i can post a picture
