Ahhh right thats not bad though, my last job I had to sign an IFA which allowed me to do overtime at standard rates.
So I could literally do 70hrs in a week and only earn the normal rate then lose half of it in tax lol

@Paranoia: Wow I am glad I don't live in the states. Those types of things are not allowed here.

@Paranoia: Where I work at we get a set salary for most of the year, the only time we can actually get overtime pay is in December and just the weeks before Christmas. It is an odd system, but if you get overtime it is sort of frowned upon.

I'm hoping we get a tax break this year. We have to pay in so much every year and then with insurance pricing jumping up all the time I don't know how most people survive. We struggle with it.

Our taxes will change. In my case that means I am having to pay more when I don't earn a lot.
That tax bracket is extremely high. I think the max here is around 40 percent.
