Nate nodded in response.

"All right." he said, handing her the clipboard in his hands.

"This has the info about what's missing." he told her.

"You follow up on that, I'll get to the cupboards in the break room." he said further.

"...sorry to bring more stress..." he then apologised quietly. "But I wasn't going to just look the other way on this. I really want to know what's going on." he reasoned.

"I'd hoped I could have done so before it came to your attention. Maybe solved this little thing so I could come to you with just a report of it, and it could be filed away." he lamented.

Again, Nate nodded.

"All right then." he said.

"If you need me, I'll be doing the cupboards in the break room." he told her.

"I'll let you know when I'm done, or if there's something that comes up that needs looking at." he said further. "...shouldn't be too much of an issue, though." he then admitted.

"Anyway, I'll talk to you later, Dr. Edwards." he finished, before heading off to do what he'd volunteered to do.

As soon as she stepped out of the room, she saw Nate hauling a garbage bag out of the break room, and he wiped his brow.

"Whew." he mumbled.

"Done. Finally." he said, before making his way in Alicja's direction. He paused when he saw her, and smiled.

"Hey." he greeted her, before looking at Zeke.

"Oh, he seems to be doing MUCH better." he commented, as they heard him lightly groan suddenly.

"...he waking up?" Nate asked.

Nate watched her go, before sighing and heading off.

When Alicja check over Zeke, she found that... he was still out. It seemed he was just shifting or something. There was a chance he wasn't completely zonked out now, and that he would naturally wake up soon, but it seemed like there had been no change.

She made sure that that was the case, before sighing and leaving the room. Again.

But THIS time she ended up bumping into a bit of a taller man with short black hair that had blonde streaks in it.

"Oh, hey." James greeted her.

"Sup?" he asked.

"Hah." James laughed in response.

"Knew that would catch up to us one day." he said.

"But cool, thanks." he finished, before they split ways and he made his way to Angela's office, knocking on the closed door.

"Enter!" he heard her call out.

He then opened the door and poked his head in.

"You were looking for me, Dr. Edwards?" he asked her.

"..." James was silent as he closed the door and sat down in front of her desk.

He looked around for a moment, before meeting her eyes.

"...yeah? What's... something going on?" he asked.

"I mean, I know I've been late a couple of times in the past couple of weeks, but... hey, I'm sorry?" he then said.

"I really don't have any excuses for those." he admitted with a light laugh... though there was nervousness to it.

"Huh? Nervous?" James asked.

"I'm not nervous. Sorry if it seems that way." he apologised, calming down slightly.

"And you're only that scary when you're mad." he told her.

"...anyway!" he then said suddenly.

"What is it you wanted to see me about?" he asked her.

"Oh, and if it's why I was gone so long on my errand run, traffic was horrible." he then said. "Tried a shortcut to get back that turned into anything but, ironically enough."

"Eh?" James responded, perking up noticeably.

"Uhhhh..." he mumbled, thinking about it.

"Yeah." he said. "Yeah, pretty sure." he told her.

"I mean, I did a quick skim, but didn't look at anything TOO closely." he then admitted, scratching the back of his head sheepishly.

"But it sure SEEMED like everything was there." he continued.

"Why? Something not there?" he then asked.

"Wh-what?" James stammered.

"Codeine? Missing? But it all seemed to be there when I checked!" he insisted.

"The delivery person was hurried, they just wanted me to sign, so I did a once-over and signed it and yeah!" he told her, clearly growing more panicked.

"I swear they were there!" he continued.

He then started to sweat. Heavily.

"Panicking!? I'm not panicking." James insisted.

"I AM innocent. I did nothing wrong." he told her.

"I signed off on the delivery because he was in a hurry and I was the one that was there." he continued.

"That's all." he said.

"I didn't know 5 bottles of codeine weren't there." he finished.
