Harmony just shrugged.

"Hey, if I don't give you a chance, then I wouldn't expect someone to give ME a chance if I asked." She stated.

"What do you mean?" Hazel asked, still not looking toward the woman.

"I mean that no one is perfect." Harmony answered, "and everyone has things in their past that they are ashamed of. Why should someone be held to that, especially when not their fault?" She asked, directing the question at Ash.

"I know the reputation of the Fyrane line. I also know that you shouldn't be alive, and only are because your mother decided to break tradition." She added

Harmony paused a moment before sighing.

"I know." She said.

"We will talk once we get back to my place, if you still feel like checking it." She told him.

"I will answer any questions that you might have at that point, as well. However, right now? It's likely not the best to speak so freely and likely emotionally about that kind of thing, since we are in public." She added.

"I did drive." Harmony answered honestly.

"And we can head out whenever you wish." She added.

"Also, if you're worried about it, it's the dark grey car right there." Was the last thing she said, motioning to the vehicle in question near the window they were by.

Hazel nodded, but didn't say anything. Then again, she wasn't super chatty with just Ash, either.

"Not a problem. I can easily fit the three of us. Plus, it'd be pointless to pay for a taxi just to go around the block."[b/] Harmony commented.

[b]"We can't use quicker means, either." She continued.

"Due to the barriers. Have to physically pass the barrier, so we'll just drive it."

"Technically both, but once your in I can make sure you two are registered with the barriers, so you don't need to worry about it." Harmony answered as they approached the car.

"However, it's a bit of an effective barrier otherwise." She added. "Can't get in without walking in, and if your mana isn't familiar, I can lock the place down so you can't get out."

"Handy." Hazel commented as they climbed into the car, Hazel in the back seat.

"Very." Harmony agreed.

"Yes." Hazel answered. However, if Ash were to look back, he'd see that she was sitting there, looking calm as can be, but there was definite pain etched lightly into her features. She also had her eyes closed.

"It's not a long ride. Literally just a couple blocks." Harmony commented.

"So please. Save your questions until we get there. As I know you'll have some." She added.

The rest of the ride was silent, before they pulled up a long-ish driveway. As they drove, both Ash and Hazel were able to feel the barrier, and it caused the latter to wince. She didn't vocalise anything though.

Harmony parked and sighed.

"Well, here we are." She said simply before climbing out of the car.

"Come on. You can ask all the questions I'm sure you want to inside. Want coffee, or anything?"

"I can show you the apartment as the coffee is perking." Harmony answered as she stepped up to the front door. She slid her key into the lock, turned it, put in a small pulse of mana, and the door opened.

"Come on in." She added as she vanished within, kicking her shoes off in the little alcove by the door.

"Kitchen is straight ahead!" She called as she went deeper into the house, to the kitchen specifically. She started to prepare some coffee for them, before sighing and grabbing the container of brownies she'd made up specially for this occassion, and set them on the island.

Hazel, of course, was silent as she approached the door. She didn't step through through. As Ash went deeper into the house, he found Harmony in the kitchen.

"Wanta brownie?" She asked. "Made fresh this morning."

"Also, where's Hazel?" She asked, noticing the redhead wasn't with him.

Hazel, had turned and was sitting on front step.

"I cannot go in there." She said simply.

"Go check the apartment without me." She added. "I will be all right. I just... I cannot go in right now." As she spoke, there was more pain to her voice than he'd heard thus far.
