      @PashminaPanda: That would explain it.
But at least we're not as bad as horses...

@Anarchist beauty: Yeah I'm good. We also don't run the risk of being turned into glue, so yay for that!

@Anarchist Beauty: yeah, the human body is so complicated that a million things can go wrong with it. not a good design at all! like why not keep it simple? why aren't we omniscient blobs.

@PashminaPanda: yeah, it's ridiculous that we're expected to function normally while literal pieces of flesh are making their painful way out of us.

@Whimsy: I would love to be nothing more than a little blob.
      How simple life would be.

@whimsy: This is so true </3 Maybe one day people will do something about it, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part.

@Anarchist Beauty: that sounds like such a peaceful existence. //yearns

@PashminaPanda: i think change takes time but it'll happen... someday. we've come a long way and we've a long way to go.

@Whimsy: If not a blob, I would also like to be a willow tree near a small lake.
      Peaceful and unbothered.

@Whimsy: Here in the United States it's looking as if we're about to take ten steps back when it comes to women's rights, so hopefully that's true. :/

@Anarchist Beauty: that just gave me the most peaceful mental picture ever. it's like the galaxy brain of cottagecore.

@PashminaPanda: ughh i hate that. it feels like whenever there is progress, there's also a resurgence of conservatism and 'good ol' days' bullshit. it's like a cycle. because i see this right wing kind of resurgence in my own country too. and globally, really.

@whimsy: Because god forbid if a man is expected to wash dishes or cook every now and then. -_- I'm not sure if you've ever watched or read The Handmaid's Tale but some of the events that have taken place lately remind me a lot of that.

@PashminaPanda: i read a bit of the book and then lost it :viocry: i'll try to find it or else i'll get the kindle version.
margaret atwood has a way of echoing reality in her speculative fiction that gives me goosebumps. her novel 'oryx and crake' does that too.

@Whimsy: I'll have to read that. :o And yes she does. I heard that every awful thing that occurred in the Handmaid's Tale has happened in some form or other somewhere in the world.

@PashminaPanda: yeah, all the awful stuff in oryx and crake is based on something that already exists or is being developed in science. that book was terrifying so now i'm terrified of the handmaid's tale lol. i'll still read it though.

@Whimsy: I would highly recommend the show, too. I had to binge it in small doses since it can be such a strain on your mental health to watch, but it's easily one of my favorites.

@PashminaPanda: yeah i think it's definitely gonna be that kind of show and book for me. i'll have to consume it carefully when i'm ready.

in the meanwhile, i'm watching amphibia on disney plus and it's endearing fun
