i just joined but i'm not sure how to change my avatar. looks like we might have some fun here!

Hello, welcome! I had trouble with changing my avi at first too; you have to purchase items at the shops you want first. Then you click on the left-hand side where it says "My Avatar/Inventory" and you can update it there.
