Forums General Chit-Chat did zantarni shut down?
i was going to post asking for stichy recommendations there as i think i had an account since i had the site bookmarked but when i checked i got a 500 internal server error? did it break down?
I was looking around yesterday and it looks like a lot of places have closed recently. Caedon seems to be closed too. Such a shame.
Solia Online seems to still exist, except none of the buttons work? So weird.
My old favorite was Syndrone, but they shut down like 6 or 7 years ago. Such a cool community there though.

hmm did any of the other games im on shut down? im on sylestia, subeta, marapets, and neopets (although i cant access my sylestia account anymore it says to reactivate it but i don't remember what email i used and said email might have gotten deleted in the google accounts purge) I was looking around yesterday and it looks like a lot of places have closed recently. I heard around that Neopets kinda died after flash stopped being supported on web browsers since most of the site was flash based. But I haven't been there in ages. I was never really on the forums there, so I never really made any friends.
I was never as into the pets as the talking and making friends, personally.

Hi @CV01: and @Lina: , Neopets does still exist. I'm a little embarrassed to say this, however I've been replaying it since, the pandemic. I received an e-mail alert that my data has been breached from Neopets. I was like "SAY, WHAT" Neopets still exists!? I changed, certain information than voilà, logged back onto my original account.

It can be a lot of fun to play old games from when we were younger. I played Neopets when Inwas really young. I remember one of my pets getting sick and crying, and my mom told me not to play anymore because I was taking it too seriously. lol
ZANTARNI IS CLOSED, as of the end of February 2024.
There are a lot of reasons for the decision (really, the need) to close; Among them, lack of regular player involvement/activity levels, and an ancient forum architecture that is no longer supported by the hosting companies. There is a bare-bones forum up and available for players to continue to chat and reconnect, but it is quite bare-bones, and future development is indeterminate at this time.
If you want to recreate a "Zantarni" account (existing accounts could not be ported to the newer forum architecture), go to Zantarni.com and read/follow the notice that is posted there (or just go to hazmo.com). Re-create an account using a Username Admin (i.e. Me) will recognize, since accounts are locked down significantly in an attempt to maintain the privacy of players and to keep out the spammers, scammers and bots & new accounts need Admin activation/approval. If you get stuck, feel free to reach out to me here, but expect delays since I haven't been online a lot recently...

I hate when avatar sites shut down, but I also know I was inactive for like 2 years, so I wasn't exactly helping... >.<
So sad though!
I miss Syndrone a lot because it had such an interesting style that was different from other places. And it closed so suddenly.

When Kasheena (Caedon original owner) left and was going to start a new website, I remember being so excited because it was going to be like dark Wonderland themed and I was hopeful it would be like Syn, But that was like 10 years ago... so I feel like it's not happening... lol

Yeah it's a bummer most of the sites I used to be on are gone. I think I was on zantarni some but don't remember my account details at all.

I used to want to make my own site too! But I can't do coding or art really, so I'm not sure what I would even offer, lol. I think it would be fun to design though! I loved the early Voltra days brainstorming lore and stuff!
