Gaia Online: Still dominates the avatar site comp but averages about 3k active users at any given time.
Dappervolk: Slow moving forum but it's an interactive, story like pet based site with some FIRE art. Also has workable games that are fun.
Recolor.me: No personal experience but this is constantly mentioned.

I haven't logged on in about two years, but tend to lurk every now and then to see if there's any activity. It's really sad to see how much this place has declined over the years. Kudos to those who still manage to log in frequently, and those who check in to see how things are going.
Although I'm not currently super active on avatar sites at the moment, I still use Gaia, Windlyn Online, Lasria, and an app game called Playville. I do miss the days when avatar forum sites were more active, though. I might have to give Dappervolk and Recolor.me a try some day. I hear so much about them.

Ok, is Gaia worth getting into now? I've been on and off that site between 2006-2012 or so, and I think I made a new account to peek in during 2020? Not gonna lie, I mostly fucked around with TekTek lol. Has inflation gotten any less aggravating?
