Oh! There's a blackout? We didn't even notice.
Benefits of electricity not working so close to magic.
So come on in for a sense of normalcy!
Magic and candles still work just fine here!

I gave it to Dobby.
He was very excited to have it.

Of course he was. Dobby is excited for anything, really. XD

He was happy.
"Does Miss need this cleaned up?"
'You can have it if you want Dobby.'
"Oh Miss! That is very kind of you Miss! Dobby would very much like a sip, Miss."
'You can have the whole glass.'
It was better than that time I gave him a pair of socks I didn't like.

Just don't piss that elf off.
Because... uhh... then you'd be in trouble.
Lots of it.
XD

I saw what he did when he tried to 'help' the Potter kid.
I just steer clear of him sometimes.
He's a good little House Elf though.
Very avid fighter for House Elf Rights, I support him.

That... was certainly an .... entertaining situation.
Y'know, ignoring the fact that he destroyed that kids second year. Really.
Avoiding him may very well be the smartest decision you may all through your school career.

Yeah, I like some of the other House Elves, too.
We got one in Ravenclaw Tower, her name's Tippy and I love her.
She's actually very adorable for a House Elf.
She's another freelancer like Dobby, I gave her a pink shirt that was too small for me.
She loves it.

Probably wearing it constantly.
Definitely cute, and comical.

Oh yes, I don't think she's taken it off since.

Really isn't surprising. I once gave one of the elves that stopped by the dungeons a hat that I found, and they totally lost it.
I gave it to them about a month ago... and they are still goin' on about it whenever I see them.
Cute, but a touch annoying.

You have to learn to deal with it.
They're still, on the whole, enslaved and unused to kindness like that.
It's tragic and we must ease them out of the old mindset.

Oh, without a doubt.
I dunno if I'm completely interested in being part of that. Other people can deal with it.
All I ask, is that they don't follow me everywhere.... like the one has started to.
But they've lightened up a bit, thankfully.
I appreaciate their work and all, totally, but damn. Having an elf following you is rather disconcerting.

It can be a little odd, they just have to be taught appropriate manners and such.
Tippy and others have learned a bit from us Ravenclaws.
I also hear they especially love the Hufflepuff's, who frequently offer them spots on the couch while they take the floor.
All the House elves are very spoiled in Hufflepuff.

Hah.
I'm not surprised, to be honest.
The Hufflepuffs get shat on so much, but damn if they aren't some of the sweetest sometimes.

Hufflepuff's continually prove that they are not the spineless little sheeps mainstream media has played them out to be.
And it's about time for that mainstream media to catch up.
Along with the 'Slytherins are evil' crap.
It's a tired old tale and no one buys into it anymore.

To be fair, not all Snakes are horrible and evil, that is true, but... there are quite a few that I wouldn't touch with a thirty yard pole. And I share a dorm with them.
But I can definitely agree that the common depiction is totally wrong for all.
Just like how Ravenclaws aren't constantly stuck up brats thinkin' they are above all the rest because they are smart.
You can find cowards in Gryffindor too.

There are those types of people in every House.
I don't go for the whole "condemning an entire house" thing.
It's why I don't allow House discrimination in my threads.
It's just as wrong and annoying as racism and homophobia.

Hear Hear.
I mean sure. I'm a Snake, and I DO have a few of the common traits, but I'm not an evil mastermind that is plottin' world domination.
Like come. On.
I don't care enough for that. LOL
